Decided to grab a quick bite for lunch to eat at the beach. This place was close by, and it was inside a building on the second floor. They did have 3 tables to sit and eat, but we ordered to go. 2 slices of pizza and a salad took about 45 minutes. There was only one order in front of ours. It was way too long. The food was not bad. Pizza was good and the salad was good as well. The person that took our order was nice and helpful. The only complaint was the wait.

The pizza was pretty good but if you want it by the slice it’s very limited options. The cheesy bread sticks were nothing but bread, as well as overcooked with no flavor. The staff was all too interested in hanging out with friends who didn’t work there. We were told it would be a 4 minute wait for our food, as it was busy we were fine that it took a little longer than the 4 minutes. However after almost 15 minutes we said something and were told it’d be even longer. I do not recommend this place.

The food was pretty good…the service was exceptional considering we got there when it was almost time for them to close. We had just arrived in Myrtle Beach and it was late and we were hungry! We went to the olive tree restaurant and not only was it sweltering hot but no one waited on us ! We stood around for 10 min, then we left and went mama mia pizza just around the corner! They were polite and happy to help is out! We got our food to go, and we were thankful for their hospitality!

I’m sorry but this place is rough. First off, you have to enter a hotel to access the pizza joint, this would be fine if the pizza was amazing but I assure you, it’s…. ok. Upon entering the restaurant you will be greeted by nobody. I stood there waiting for someone for about 3 minutes to be greeted and charged for my pizza and garlic parmesan wings. I had to ask to pay. I did not receive the pizza and garlic parmesan wings for another 15 minutes. These are reasonable times for your average pizza place considering I showed up about 5 minutes after calling ahead. But what I observed while I was there was beyond unacceptable. The severe amount of black mold on the ceiling around the air ducts was unacceptable and disgusting. The team members were dressed in casual clothing with their hair hanging down over their shoulders and we’re not wearing gloves when handling the food. This is upsetting for both the hotel and the restaurant itself. Considering they prepare package and serve food to the general public and a place that has active black mold spores on the ceiling is very disgusting. You will see the black mold in the pictures above, with this said I do not believe this place should be open. When it comes to the food the pizza was subpar, considering I was extremely hungry it was okay but the dough tasted a bit weird and it had a crunchy and soggy sensation at the same time. The sauce cheese and pepperoni were probably the best part. The wings smelled kind of funky almost like pickled sausage. The taste was okay but the bones split in half without any effort at all almost as if they were overcooked. It reminded me of wings that are baked then stored in a refrigerator and then refried for an excessive period of time. The garlic parmesan sauce was delicious above everything else. They did get my order wrong forgetting some of my sauces which I reminded them of and they replied with anger and denial. “Did you look inside the box?” I said yes you guys forgot my sauce and I would really like some. The team member behind the counter commented behind my back as I was walking away that “wow he didn’t even tip” after I left a cash tip of $4 in the jar. The price of almost $40 for only a subpar pizza and mediocre wings is very disappointing and I’ll be sure to never order from mamma Mia’s pizzeria the next time I visit Myrtle Beach.

The reason for the 1 star is on 08/02 they stated our gift card we used didn’t have enough funds on it and was “declined”. Luckily, my husband had cash on hand and paid with that. However, when checking our gift card balance and transactions, they indeed DID charge us the $47.67 AND took the cash! So, now we paid almost $100 for a pizza, a few cans of pop and some mozzarella sticks

The place was clean and the food tasted great. We only waited roughly 10 minutes for a large two topping pizza and 10 wings (she even gave us an extra one) Would recommend to anyone staying at the Tropical Seas Hotel that does not want to go far for good food. The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because the times they’re open are super sporadic, even for those of us staying at Tropical Seas. Would suggest either updating your hours to show when you’re actually open or actually staying open until the time you advertise. Great food, just dont know when you can get it.
