We tried this place as it was recommend to us by a friend. The rice is very tasty and the tacos are small but really good. I got the asada. You’ll need to order about 4-6 to get full. Place is cash only with an ATM machine inside. Self serve chips salsa. Great taco spot.

These are the worse carnitas I ever hadThey were very mushy and drenched in I don’t know what. Discussing!! Never again. The cashier was rude. Bad ,everything bad!

I ordered their ceviche tostada and a buche burrito. The ceviche tostada was really good and refreshing. The burrito was also good and it had some tasty sauce in it.

I cannot say anything bad about the food itself, because everything I’ve eaten there is fresh and tasty. My reasons for giving a low rating is because they only accept cash and either the person taking the order can’t write a ticket or the person preparing the order can’t read it, but I’ve had to send back more food than I care to remember because they put tons of onions and cilantro or drown it in hot sauce. I specifically ask for very little or none so I can add my own liking but I feel like if I’m being singled out, though I am sure others have the same complaint. I like to taste my food not have it drowned out by onions and cilantro. If they finally start getting orders right and take cards or electronic payments, I will be more than happy to change my ratings. I think if you only take cash, it’s because you don’t want a paper trail for reporting your income and don’t want to pay the right amount of taxes for your income and everything else including employees tax an insurance. I’m not saying they are doing anything wrong and need to be investigated, I’m saying that “cash only” gives the appearance that that’s what’s going on. Besides they are losing business and income by not taking cards and it inconveniences their clients that dont carry cash, they do have a cash ATM on premises but that costs to use and may be owned by the restaurant so they can doubledip in your pocket. So it is questionable in my opinion, but my opinion should not be a reason for you to enjoy some good food.

#1 taqueria in Oxnard. This taqueria has been the best in Oxnard for at least twenty years. Anytime someone asks where they can eat the best food in oxnard I send them to this location (tapatio by the Oxnard airport) at times the lines go out the door that means they are obviously doing something right. I guarantee you it’s worth the wait every single time. The tacos and the burritos are absolutely delicious. I have a lot of friends and family that live out of state and the first thing they want to eat when they visit Oxnard is taqueria el tapatio. They only take cash but they have an ATM near the entrance.

We love this place. Food is authentic and the service is fast. We ordered A carnitas wet burrito, two Coctel De Camaron which came with two tacos of meat choices. So much food. They also outside seating. This was a great experience. You must visit this place.

I like the food but the owners only accept cash, nowadays most everyone carries very little cash, we pay with credit/debit cards or by some online service with our cellphones. Being a business owner myself it’s hard to comprehend why they would not want to accept all forms of currency if it will bring in more people, the volume of sales would offset the cost of accepting other forms of payments. Because they don’t wish to change, I have stopped frequenting their establishment on a regular basis, maybe once a month. Cash only makes me wonder why? But that’s just my 2 cents.. if you want some great tasting Mexican food, theirs rocks it…

Wow. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the cheap prices. NOTE: Cash only. I understand we are a world of plastic, but mind you that some businesses keep costs down by using cash instead of credit card fees. Don’t knock the food because they only accept cash.
