I have eaten here once before and was impressed with the food, service and atmosphere but my most recent visit was disappointing. The server admitted she didn’t know what was on the menu, had only shown up to work minutes before and was contracted so didn’t follow the rules. They were out of many options, which understandably can happen, but the food that I ended up ordering (sweet potato hash) was surprisingly bad. The eggs were barely cooked throughout, unlike true sunny side up eggs, the sweet potatoes had no discernible seasoning whatsoever, and the mushrooms looked canned. The dish was $16 and most definitely not worth half that.

Great staff and ambiance! Perfect for museum date, and parking is very easy. However, I had grilled chicken for $18. The chicken was a bit dry and the portion was very small. Definitely not worth the money. The staff were friendly and attentive.

I was greeted by oh so FRIENDLY staff and seated without much wait time. My server was such a joy and was the utmost tentative to everyone dining at lunch today. I had the chicken salad which was fantastic. A PERFECT balance of textures and fresh flavors.

Don’t know why it took me this long to try this place out, since I’m obsessed with anything brunch related. I just loved the setting of this place, just the fact that it’s in Kemper Museum surrounded by eclectic art makes it worth the visit. We tried their biscuits and gravy, squash and goat cheese omelette and French toast with raspberry purée and ice cream. Such a good meal experience, I couldn’t get enough of the crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside smashed potatoes. The French toast was incredible and we didn’t even need the syrup because the ice cream and berry purée were all it needed. The omelette wasn’t anything special and next time I will probably try their cornbread and something more adventurous. Also wish they had more dessert options than ice cream. Definitely recommend this spot to all the KC foodies.

A very disappointing experience. My companion ordered a ‘salad’ that consisted of a mound of white bread with some flavoring and little else, not a shred of greens or veggies. Who thought this was a satisfactory entrée? After a complaint, the charge was removed from our bill. Our server was himself ‘out to lunch’, forgetting to bring various items. We will not be returning for a long while.

The food here was delicious. I ordered the Kobe Beef Hash and the Crab Cakes/Eggs Benedict. They were both divine.

The venue is very neat. You are surrounded by contemporary art (totally not my thing) underneath a glass ceiling. The staff is very friendly and service is ok.

A great place to get lunch. I had the fried rice with duck added to it for my entree. For dessert I had the bruleed barley pudding, followed by a cup of coffee. Everything was good.

This was such a great place for brunch. The art and the courtyard come together to make this a very unique experience. I would suggest bringing friends! It’s not that busy and quite honestly is now one of my favorite brunch places. I will be back soon – this time with a lot of friends!
