Great place for dine in. It’s located right in the center or downtown Minocqua. There is a beautiful beer garden out back. Great German food with a perfect size menu. The Cuban carnitas sandwich and the brats are great. They have a kids menu and plenty of great beer on tap and cocktail options. Friendly and quick service!

This was a we saw it and said, “Let’s try it” choice. I have to say it may be the best brat I have had in Wisconsin. The brat is removed from the casing ang grilled, served on a robust bun and kraut & chips on the side. We also had a beer from the large list. The wait staff is hit or miss. Some were on the ball, and others were a bit slow. Would like to try dinner sometime, too. Will definitely be back. The patio is very German beer hall like, with a nice mural on one wall.

This place is always amazing. We have tried most everything on the menu and have not been disappointed. My personal favorite is the Reuben or the Ottos Brat. The Weiss beer on tap is great and always have had great service. We ate there several days this last trip and only had one time where the service lacked as the waitress just disappeared and the staff had to track her down but this is not a representation of their service overall. This is a must when you are in the area. Also if you like Bloody Mary’s. You should try the Bacon Jalapeno one. Its so good.

I almost never leave reviews: Food: great! We had the black forest burger and Ottos brat. Gripes: pickle looked like it had a bite out of it… we had a HUGE issue with only one type of craft beer being available (12 bucks a can). Lesser ranking fot food because of this. All taps were down. BEER IS THE 2ND WORD IN YOUR NAME. Dont get me wrong, the atmosphere is incredible and servers were really nice!!! High hopes for a small menu.

You may be better off eating anywhere else, very limited menu, and not the best flavor wise. Great atmosphere, the drinks were good.

The host(ess) informed us that it would be an hour wait for food, ergo, we were never seated. Perhaps this has to do with the fact that it was a midsummer’s Saturday night (i.e. tourist season). Nevertheless, it would be prudent of this establishment’s owner(s) to add more seating or post a sign on the door as well as on their website regarding wait times and/or the lack of seating.

Meh. This was our fourth choice for dinner, as other restaurants in the area had incredibly long waits. (Another restaurant’s wait list was so long they stopped accepting names for the night). Otto’s had no wait and was only about one third full. Food was ok, but my wife’s order was wrong, and the side dish portion was tiny.
