Ship to Shore American Bistro Kingston N.Y. typical decor for bistro setting. Ordered fresh mozzarella and tomatoe with balsamic, tonight mozzarella was a bit bland, onion ring was delicious, fresh steam mussels in butter sauce and steam clams was extremely tender and mopping fresh bread in butter sauce hit the palette notes. New Zealand lamb lollipops was delicious but quite small in portion size, the grilled pork chop was wonderful and tender, topped with mash potatoes and asparagus .the strip steak was tender but disappointed with the amount of fat left on the strip, fish and chips was quite bland tonight, fish portions was small and fries seemed under cooked.mac and cheese was bland would be nice if 2nd cheese was added for more depth of flavor. Overall my family was satisfied with the meal besides the hiccups, but in today’s inflation you expect perfection and good size portions. Tyler our waiter was superb,he is extremely knowledgeable with the menu and charming/professional. If your ever in Kingston give this bistro a try.

Fabulous food, serving favorites. Jerk season Duck breast, asparagus & orange just amazing. Staff on point at service, knowledgeable of wine pairings/specials. Sweet corn chowder, fresh off cob- dimensional flavors. Curry Shrimp Ramen & snow pea bowl flavors amazing, w/darling wonton dumplings. Lamb rib chops delectable. Pretty presentations. Loud atmosphere, tiny tables when adding cocktails, wine, bread plates, salad. Thankfully, quick table service whisked away plates/glassware. Tables so small, we looked underneath to see if leaves could fold out to make circular. Wine list limited, good cocktails in this cocktail renaissance. Creme Brule hints of orange went well w/Duck as dessert course. Flourless chocolate cake was rich & bready (flour substitute rise, not fudgy tart,) glad to see had ice cream & Raspberry sauce to cut depth. Can add 4oz lobster tails to any plate. Hip bouncy Music- added to bustle & noise. Lowly lit, narrow space on whole. Not well for wheelchair access or persons with disabilities. Amazing Food! Will definitely go back!

We recently rediscovered this place after a long hiatus. Were really pleased with everything, and how can a restaurant be even half bad when it has an octopus option on the menu? Highly recommend on all levels but you should eat inside and enjoy the antique building’s bones and bar. The outside seating is right on the road and not very enjoyable with the cars going by tight to the enclosure.

My opinion – top three best restaurants from Santa Barbara all the way back to Kingston. Each time I go I leave happy feeling great foods awesome I always follow the specials but also go to the actual menu sometimes. Bald guy is a Michelin server as well. All in all I love the place

Tyler was great especially with food sensitivities. The golden hour drink was delicious and strong. Salmon dinner and Thai noodles were yummy.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ship to Shore, located on the waterfront in Kingston, NY, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment my friends and I walked in, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly staff that made us feel right at home.

In from Boston for a wedding. Stumbled into this restaurant and it was absolutely tremendous! The food was incredible! All of the staff were smiling and happy! The music in the background was spot on and not too loud so as to interfere with conversations at the table! I have never posted re a visit to a restaurant before. It was truly an great experience! Hats off to all!

Ship to Shore is a phenomenal restaurant. My wife and I ate here two nights in a row for my birthday and just a romantic night out on the town. The service was wonderful (shout-out to Tyler!), The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely. We will definitely return and recommend this restaurant to everyone who visits Kingston.

This is an occasional spot for us, but one that never fails. The food is prepared with such amazing précis it’s formidable. I still don’t understand how the chef gets that kind of tenderness from flank steak. Please bring back the seafood stew you had some time ago (the one the waiter did not want to call Cioppino, but it was), or bouillabaisse? ;). Will be back, again and again.
