Spot where locals get their country fixing. Ordered hamburger steak and a fried chicken dark meat. Greens and beets to go with it. The hamburger steak with the onion gravy was as expected. Delicious. The fried chicken had no breading or seasoning so skipping that one the next time. Collard greens was great so was the beets.

My daughter and I ate there for lunch and it was amazing. The food was hot and well done not overcooked or undercooked. The staff there is awesome and very friendly. The prices are very reasonable. Can’t get a better home-cooked meal feeling than here.

Coming to Vera’s is like a tale of two different restaurants. From when they open till about 1:00 you get the best service possible and the food is always great. But sometime after 2:00 it turns into a free-for-all. Suffice to say, the quality of service food and and professionalism goes down fast. But it is still well worth a visit there if you like good home style cooking.
