Awesome find by Kent State University. I am guessing this is a family owned and operated restaurant as it definitely gives that vibe. Food, service, atmosphere all excellent. Our server, Jeffrey, was very nice and checked on us just the right amount despite him waiting on many tables.

Food was excellent, service was great ( thanks Matt) and for an afternoon lunch/ dinner it was quiet enough to talk. I will definitely be back for a future date with my lovely wife!!

I got the happy family with a side of lo mein. The food looked very good. Temperature was uneven which made me think that it was reheated. Lo mein was flavorful. Wife got bibimpap which was good. Gyoza was ok.

They have Sake … selections can vary. Along with Sushi, the Malaysian options are great. Reasonable prices and reasonable service. Parking can be difficult at busy times, but manageable. Menu is interesting which will make me come back for more.

I’ve only had the ramen here. It was great. Eggs are hard boiled instead of soft boiled but whatever on that. Daughter said the sweet potato rolls are really good too. Staff is always kind and food comes out pretty fast. We eat here whenever we’re in the area.

Since I have to give it a one star, I will. Be careful watch your receipts. Someone is stealing in that establishment and writing in tips when they are not earned. Short blonde/brown long hair server was extremely rude. When brought to the managers attention he became very rude and nasty not wanting to handle the thief in his establishment. Beware and watch your accounts.

When on foot in downtown Kent and you want good Asian food, this is the best sushi you will find. Tempura is good as well a variety of specialty adian dishes. It seems ownership has changed over the past few years as what used to be a lot of Malaysian fare has been removed and now the menu reflects a typical higher end Chinese owned Japanese style restaurant. The classic sushi options are still there. Still yummy!

It is scientifically proven that the way to a girl’s heart is through sweet potato rolls.

Nor really authentic asian food. We tried laska and nasi goreng. Both were average. The shrimp was chewy, and checiken was smelly. The cleaner was cleaning a table just behind us with some dirty instruments that make huge sound. Overall not upto mark compared to the food price.

The sushi always tastes great, but the ramen is really disappointing. The Tonkatsu ramen broth tastes nothing like pork or any other tonkatsu ramen I’ve ever had. It honestly just tastes of the overwhelming amount of bean sprouts they put in my order. The egg is super hard boiled (like eith the grey ring around the yolk). The green onions, nori, and bamboo pieces are all fine. The chicken katsu was really dry and I didn’t personally like the ketchup-y/ Worcestershire sauce-y dipping sauce that came with it. I may equate the dry chicken to ordering pick up instead of dining in.
