Really enjoyed our meal here. Wonderful service. Beautifully presented “small plates” can certainly make a lovely meal of these! No tiny crabcake here! She crab soup was very good. Come casual or a little dressy. If you are into bourbon, great selection.

We were beyond disappointed. Two of us ordered the crab cake, pork belly, scallops and shrimp & grits. The seafood ingredients are good quality, fresh and good size and generous portions. But for a supposedly top notch eatery, the sauces lacked flavor and complexity. The pork belly, while well seared, tasted bland and bristly. The shrimp and grits came in a heavy tomato based sauce that tasted dull and salty. Of the 4 dishes we ordered, 3 came with grits. I like grits but I didn’t come to a fancy eatery to fill up on heavy carbs. The final straw was how overpriced the menu is. Two of us with 2 appetizers, 2 mains and 1 glass of wine, no dessert and no coffee, paid almost $150.

The food was delicious! Excellent service as well. The crab cake was the best I’ve ever had! I highly recommend that and the she crab soup. The Caesar salad was fresh and delicious as well. It was nice to find a restaurant in Michigan that severs sweet tea!

Laura and Howard have the secret gem of restaurants in best beach town of all the Great Lakes. Southern cuisine, but with midwestern friendliness and the best wine list/smoked manhattan you’ll ever have courtesy of bartender Courtney

This restaurant was recommended by our hosts at Hexagon House. And a better recommendation they could not have made. We enjoyed both the appetizers and the main courses. The salmon, duck, smoked chicken, beef filet, and shrimp and grits were just what we had hoped it would be. Our server was great. The atmosphere was as elegant as the meal.

We’ve been traveling on our boat for one month and this was the best dinning experience we’ve had. The catfish was outstanding and the crab soap was excellent. My wife loved her samon. Took two bowls of the soap home as take out. Service was also great. Cannot wait to come back!

I was going to write “one of the best meals I’ve ever had in the Ludington area” but that would be inaccurate. This was THE best meal. The pork belly, naan, brie, shrimp and grits, catfish, scallops, and whitefish special were all fabulous. The service was friendly, professional, and expedient. I can’t wait to return.

The South Carolina flag needs to be taken down. The sweet tea they serve is NOT the type of sweet tea you would get in the Carolinas. Perhaps the owners came from 3rd generation southerners but lived too long in the Midwest. The tea is freshly brewed, you can taste that but it was light on the sugar. I’m better off drinking just water whenever we stop by Ludington.
