ENJOY THE TASTE OF CHICAGO Pappy’s Chicago style eatery started in the 90s in the Chicago suburbs, we are pleased to serve you the authentic Chicago style food we grew up on! We opened our first restaurant in Saint Paul MN in 2004, later opening other locations since then. We built a successful business only by serving food that made the Windy City famous! Like Chicago hot dogs, Italian Beef Sandwiches, Maxwell Street Polish, Fried Chicken & more. The proof is in the fact that most of our ingredients come directly from Chicago. Pappy’s is famous for its authentic gyros & Sirloin Philly cheese steak, voted best in the Twin Cities! We hope you to see you among our friends at Pappy’s and enjoy the taste of Chicago!

I ordered two 10 piece wings and I asked for lemon pepper on one, but got lemon pepper on none. The wings were worthy of 3 stars though.

Pappy’s is not consistent on the quantity of food you get. The first time I got the shrimp basket, the shrimp and fries were plentiful. The second time, there was half the shrimp and fries.

This place use to be really good I’m not sure what happen. Chicken isn’t cleaned well enough still has hair, They barely put any of the seasoning on the food anymore, chicken wings really small and fries weren’t fresh. I Didn’t even eat it

Chicago dogs and easy burgers, this place is great for a bite that reminds you of a different city.

The food was great. It’s like a tiny little diner. The cashier and cook were both pleasant.

I’m a Chicagoan, born and raised. I moved here a couple months ago, and recently I’ve had a taste for a Chicago style hot dog. So I came to Pappys Chicago Style Eatery. The presentation was good, but What I found lied under the pretty exterior really missed the mark. There wasn’t nearly enough relish, onion, or mustard. Also, there wasn’t any celery salt to be found. It was kind of bland. Which seems to be the way flavors are in Minneapolis, bland, and tasteless. It’s insulting. On top of it all, the onion rings were undercooked. The batter was raw in spots.

Waited over 40 minutes for 6 mediocre wings that gave me food poisoning. Don’t go here

Every time I go to Minneapolis with my friend, he makes me stop at Pappy’s for an Italian beef! He’s hooked on them. Next time, I’m going to try a Philly since my friend’s sandwiches are ALWAYS stuffed with meat hanging over the edges! This last time we stopped, people were trying to find parking just to get their fix of Pappy’s. Apparently everyone loves them!!
