Great new spot for delicious food and drinks. Everyone is very helpful to explain the authentic cuisine. Beer is a local selection (good choices). I suggest ordering extra dessert to take home.

We have tried Maiz twice now and both times have been great! The folks who take your order are always helpful and offer suggestions if you aren’t familiar with the menu. The arepas and empanadas are delicious!

Overstuffed, messy arepas. The sauces are good.

Maiz is such a great addition to the Brunswick food scene. It’s the perfect spot to grab a quick lunch. All the staff I’ve encountered there is kind and friendly. The vibe is fun and the whole space is vibrant and full of color. Their arepas are spot on, with very generous portions of protein and fresh veggies. My go to is the chorizo. If you’re a garlic lover, get the ajo sauce, you won’t be disappointed!

I love Maiz. Now that they are in Brunswick I come more often than Portland and when they open the next one in Bath I’ll be there every day. I go for the chicharron bowl with rice, beans, greens and avocado usually—but you can choose your own ingredients for the bowls. The bar and space is a nice place to chill too.

Delicious food and friendly, helpful staff. Tasty arepas, empanadas, and sauces. Our party enjoyed the wide selection of beer and the mocktails. All the staff were knowledgeable about the menu and happily answered questions. Looking forward to visiting again.
