My husband and I were disappointed. We were anxious for Racks to open. We went for lunch today around 11:30 and were impressed by the remodel. We waited approximately 30-40 minutes for our lunch although there were only a few people seated when we arrived. My hamburger was less than mediocre, fries the same, although the brioche bun was good. My husband’s food was cold. I think they had a lot of take out orders backed up which may have resulted in the long wait. The staff was friendly which was a plus, and we enjoyed the music. We may try again in a few weeks in hopes that they can work out the kinks and offer faster service. I would like to try a couple other menu items but I definitely will not order the burger and fries again.

God-awful service. We had five people in our party. When we put in the appetizer order we were told that one of the items wasn’t available. When the server came back later to take our entree order we were told two of the entrees were not available. Turns out they had a live band the night before and I guess the owners underestimated what kind of turn out they would have. This band is hugely popular and have a large following. Needless to say they ran out of a lot of food. Over an hour later we had no food. Finally I was able to stop somebody and ask about our food. A few minutes later our food was delivered to our table and another member of our party asked to speak to a manager. This so called “manager” comes over asked what the problem is. We try and explain to her that we’ve been waiting over an hour for our food and then she begins to argue with us over what time are order was placed. She then tells us that’s not her problem and we’re going to have to take it up with our server as she slamming the check down on the table in our faces and walks away. We then have to send one of the meals back because one person in person in our party very specifically requested that no garnishment be on her plate and when she gets her food it’s covered in parsley. We then wait another 20 minutes for her to get her replacement meal and it’s completely inedible. The Alfredo sauce was basically a bowl of grease and the chicken was cooked so hard you couldn’t even cut it. The “manager” tried to apologize to us for being so rude but only after our server told her she had to and then had the nerve to charge us for the inedible meal. Turns out one of the cooks walked out the previous night and the “manager” wasn’t a manager at all. She was just filling in because the owner was so “stressed out” from the night before that she couldn’t come to work. GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE! This place has the potential to be really successful but at this rate your doors to be closed within a year. But I do have to say that our server was really awesome.

This is what hartwells been needing a good place to eat and enjoy with your family! I’d give ten stars if I could! Had the best experience yesterday at racks, it was my first time going. Got there at 6 left at 11:30. Will be going back every weekend. Food was amazing and the atmosphere. People that’s complaining about the wait time need to understand that it’s a new restaurant ,its not gonna be the fastest. People are still learning the new place , and so what if it’s a little slow it’s well worth it! Everyone down there is doing a fantastic job. Instead of complaining have a beer Thanks racks for the awesome experience!!!!

Most laughable experience I’ve that can remember. Should have been a pretty standard experience. Ordered drinks and 2 entrees with sides. They were pretty busy so I was patient.

Our first visit was enjoyable even though getting food was rather slow. We came back with neighbors, and this visit was the worst experience we’ve ever had at a restaurant. We arrived at 6:20, and at 8:15 we left because we still had not received our food. We were told it would be 20 minutes to be seated. We were finally seated at 7. After being seated, nobody came to the table to take our order for over 15 min. My husband went to the hostess desk to see if they could find someone to wait on us. The server was not happy when he took our order. We ordered food and drinks at once. My husband got his appetizer after another 15 – 20 min. When the waiter came to take his plate, we asked politely to have him check on our food. We never saw him again. My husband spoke to the manager when we decided to go somewhere else to eat. He simply said they have a small kitchen, and they were busy. By 8:15, most tables were empty, so I’m not sure why the kitchen wasn’t turning out food. I have no desire to go back after we received such bad service.

We waited for 30 minutes for a table. There were tables available but had to wait. The food took 40 minutes to arrive. Salads came last after entrees were finished. Our entree was cold when it arrived. Not a good first impression. The waitress did apologize for the poor service before we left. Maybe it will get better with more organization.

We ate there on this Friday evening. We did get there fairly early. We were seated immediately. The food was out 10-15 minutes after we ordered. Everything tasted great and service was perfect. We will definitely be going back!

We’ve been twice to Rack’s. Both visits required 30-60 minutes to get seated. I like the new look and menu…just wish the food came out hotter and better tasting.
