Great food and entertainment! The Kalua Pork was fresh coming out of the underground oven. There was so much selection of local food and desserts were delicious. The show was great! There was a lot of excitement and enthusiasm coming from the cast which made it very enjoyable to watch.

Friday: Good historical entertaining Luau. However it was a bit subdued compared to the party going on next door at the Fairmont Hotel Luau on Saturday. The food is why this is only a 3 star review – the all day ground cooked pig was really good. The chicken came in second but the fish, flank steak and appetizers were not so good. Either too bland or just missed the recipes…Some of this could be the food prep and time it takes to make it to the table. The complimentary wine with the meal was sub par. The welcome mai tai was also sub par. Maybe it just comes down to not enough staff to prepare everything as fresh as possible. I asked and it seems the Luau is only 7mo only but I would assume that’s enough time to work out these quality issues.
