I was there to try deep dish pizza. I ordered the medium cheese deep dish pizza. I wanted a personal one, but they were unable to make one. That was no problem as I took the left over slices for my airplane ride two days later. I ended up making a pig of myself and ate 4 slices. I had the other two boxes up. The atmosphere was nice, the place was empty, probably due to the Cubs game being played. The neighborhood is very safe and enjoyed my walk back to the L station.

I ordered for pick up, arrived early and waited so the pizza was fresh when ready. We decided on this place for a change… and the deep dish pizza after seeing the reviews. Also ordered the cheese bites and mozzarella sticks as a general go to favorite of my girlfriend and myself. This was a special night and after trying the “worse than frozen” dried out cheese sticks, the cheese bites we hoped for something like Lou’s pizza. Which didn’t stand a chance with no flavor and honestly I would pick up White Castle cheese sticks instead. We ended the appetizers which we’ve never done and thought maybe the pizza is “where it’s at!”… Nope. It was not good. Bland and the cheese was cold. The crust was crunchy. I can give it that. And the marinara sauce was decent. But for the entire experience at that price. Never again. Save your money. Don’t trust the over rated reviews. They must not know pizza or Chicago. Life long resident for over 39 years and I should have known why I’ve never tried this place before. Wish I never did.

honestly this place is pretty damn overrated and I was looking forward to it big time due to recommendations! The staff are super cool and the venue is nicely decked out. they even had free cupcakes for their 10th year anniversary. But honestly the pizza was cold and I wouldn’t consider it deep dish. just felt hard, bland, unhealthy and hard to finish. The oils and crust were pretty amazing though.

Quite enjoyed my first deep dish pizza in Chicago. The sauce wasn’t too sour and nice and chunky.

Pretty good pizza! I really liked the ingredients used, and the staff was very friendly! Would totally go again. Though, this might be the tourist in me, but I did like Giordano’s slightly better, and mostly because the crust I had at Bartoli’s was a bit drier. That said, it could have been sheer luck; maybe the crust I got was a bit different than usual, or the one I got at Giordano’s was better than usual (my friend asserts that is the latter). Still, in a vacuum, I like Bartoli’s, and would be happy to visit again, and maybe try their other items.

Sauce is slightly sweet and just right. Sausage is perfectly seasoned. Crispy crust but not cracker. Always beats delivery time. Overall the one pie that checks all the boxes for both me and my wife.

Saw this on a list of best deep dish to try in Chicago and didnt disappoint. was the best pizza ive had in my life. Highly recommend to anyone wanting authentic and delicious chicago deep dish. Everything was perfect. the crust was nice and golden and delicious the sauce was flavorful and the ratio of crust to topping to cheese to sauce was ideal. Nothing felt like it was overpowering.

Fabulous classic chicago pizza. Both the thin pub style and deep dish were amazing! Highly recommended, small place on a corner if you don’t look you’ll miss it. Their crust is better than both Lou’s and Giordano’s.
