Delicious as always! Had a rare kid-free afternoon so grabbed my favorite, the sweet and savory, and headed over to West Hill Brewery to enjoy a beer with it. I had 2 different people ask me where my sandwich was from because it looked so good!

Need some signage inside for out of town people to know where things are and how the order process flows. The potato salad was a little expensive as a side for the portion you receive. I ordered the chicken bacon wrap and received it promptly. The chicken was blah not the best tasting or textured meat I have eaten. The seating was good and there is a fair amount of seating. I’ll have to check out another option on the menu the next visit and update my post then.

This is one of the best kept secrets of Warren County! If you’ve never been to Funaro’s you’re missing out. The friendly staff will treat you like family! The meatballs, the cookies! This is my favorite place for lunch! Best meatball sandwich in all of Iowa!

Sub par sandwiches. Inconsistent quality. They are always running out of breads (croissants). Service/staff are unprofessional and forgetful. The environment is cold, and sterile. Just painting and better blinds would help. And please, step into the 21st century and get new overhead lighting. When I go in, which is rare now, I am delighted when we leave. Try some booths as well. I would love to support local businesses, but only those that make an effort to get my business. The sandwiches…boring deli meat, slapped on day old bread is something dissatisfying. I’m sure all of those on the square , eat for lunch because it’s close! Their cookies are good, but that about it. The side options are from 1950. A cup of fruit? Pasta salad? They only reason they are open is from the business owners on the square. Even a chain like Panera has amazing soups and sandwiches. Being a family business get together and create a new menu! Please! When I have friends come from Des Moines, I wouldn’t dare take them to Funaro’s. Most of the town wants to see you succeed, but do you care enough to please the people. (You haven’t mine)

Went out of my way to visit as I enjoy trying new deli’s. Wanted to order ahead as was just passing through town and didn’t have much time. Their website shows online ordering but won’t actually allow one to do-so. Their website didn’t have hours listed but Google showed they were open so I stopped in. It was 10am. They refused to make anything except breakfast sandwiches. I was hoping to get a lunch sandwich to go. Walked out. What a waste of time.

My most recent sandwich was good, but the in-person ordering experience didn’t quite seem to match options available online.
