It was a nice little place with very good sushi. Its definitely on the cheaper side, but more than quality fish. Nice setting inside, kind of busy. Service wasnt too great but you go there for the food! Awesome sushi spot

Had reservations for 2 on Wednesday and was seated right away. Restaurant was about half full. Place seems clean and the staff was attentive, not really welcoming but not rude either.

Stopped in midweek for the lunch special. All 3 rolls (salmon avocado, tuna avocado, eel cucumber) tasted fresh, and the portion size was good for the price. Ordered online and got our food to-go.

Usually food is really good. Tonight it’s not good at all. I don’t know what happened but there’s no way to contact them on their website either. Such a shame. They’re usually my favorite sushi place. 🙁

Ordered here several times from their old location from up the street till they moved to down the street. Recently ordered hibachi steak with white rice and miso soup. Very good food. I’ll recommend trying this place.

Environment: Casual yet inviting, not a real loud dining but you can feel comfortable having a conversation and enjoying yourself. The place gets busy and seems to be a great family spot. Food: excellent. Presented well, reasonably priced, consistent. Would certainly recommend to anyone who likes sushi and a casual dining experience. Wanting I asked for an iced tea and got a can of Brisk ice tea, not that there’s anything wrong with that but was expected a glass on unsweetened. I guess either of us could be at fault for not clarifying or asking.

Decent Japanese restaurant. Enjoyed my Friday night dinner. The tiger eye tastes very good although it’s very loosely wrapped. House special roll only $8.95 for 5 pieces. Again, loosely wrapped and crumbled when I picked it up with chopsticks. But it tastes so GOOD. You can see all different kinds of fish inside the roll, very less rice. So satisfied. We also ordered the sashimi for 2. It has 7 kinds of fish x 4 pieces each. Very fresh, compare with those in all-you-can-eat restaurants. But the color of 1 kind of white fish is blended with the ice. We almost miss it. One thing I don’t like is the rice come with the sashimi. (I think that’s accident.) The waitress gave us 2 bowls of VERY white rice. I can’t even finish it.

I can’t say enough about Yokohama!!!!! I’ve eaten here at their Somerville location many times over the past 20 years. Know matter the change in management, owners, moving, etc, whatever, the quality of their sushi has always remained top notch. I’ve never had anything I’ve ordered taste bad. Love the new place (new to me because I haven’t been there in years). I would and did drive way out of my way, I was in Allentown, Pa. Just to visit Yokohama. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. You can not go wrong here if you are a sushi fiend. If you are trying sushi for the first time. Yokohama will set your standards so high that other places will disappoint you.
