I tend to like everything and rarely complain. My bibimbap meal had a grit in it, felt like chewing sand and there was really no taste other than the hot sauce. I also couldn’t find the quinoa in the dish. When we were asked how it was I told her I didn’t like it. She asked me a few minutes later if I wanted a box. Really?? I don’t want it now and definitely don’t want it later. Everything was pretty good until then and it was my first time there. The manager refused to remove my uneaten meal from the bill. I paid $13 for a few disgusting bites and left hungry. They never offered to give me anything else. I will not be back.

Perfect spot for happy hour! Also I have to shoutout Brianna who was our server, dining room server, the hostess, to go order taker, etc. She was attentive and handled the front of the restaurant we. I’d been to multiple Bonchon’s before including this one. We sat at the bar and the music was nice (hip hop and R&B) and the World Cup was playing which was cool. The parking spaces are a little tight but the dining room is spacious.

I was excited to find Bonchon because I hadn’t visited one in a while. When I walked in there were two people at the bar talking. I believe they already had their order. I waited quite a few minutes before someone came from the back to assist me. After I placed my order it seemed to be another long wait. With that said, I would recommend calling ahead as seemed to be the case with some oreders that were bagged and waiting for pickup.

We have been here twice in the last 2 years. The second time reminded me how bad the waiting time and food was the first time. Popcorn shrimp was burnt, half the chicken was way over cooked, the appetizer and basket of fries came out when we were half way done with what we ate. The potstickers were cooked very well, probably because they forgot about them and had to cook them special.

They asked us to yell out our order from across the restaurant even though we were the only people there. The food took soooo long and the shumai was served with honey mustad…the shumai was the frozen kind and it wasn’t heated up all the way. The chicken took forever. The katsu was decent but the sauce wasn’t the best. Their fries were gooood

Great hidden spot in Midlothian! Food was fresh and had great flavor. Waitress was super nice. Everything seemed clean and the ambience was great for a nice sit down. Ordered the Shrimp Shumai as starter (fried). It was very tasty. Wife had the Bonchon wrap. It was good and spicy. Nice balance. Nice toasted tortilla. I had the tacos. They were great and filled me up way more than expected! Slightly spicy and very fresh tasting. Raw onions were good, but I would avoid if you’re not into that.

We tried this particular Bon Chon years ago and it was terrible. I don’t know what possessed us to try it again, but we did, and we were equally as disappointed as we were the first time. We ordered the pork buns (they were actually pretty tasty-salty, but tasty), fried shrimp shumai(they were blah), bulgogi fried rice (the bulgogi was just over salted burnt chunks of beef—not the usual thinly sliced, korean flavor marinated, tender pieces of beef–some of the rice was mushy and over cooked and other sections were a little crunchy and undercooked), and lastly 10 piece half and half wings…..ok, I understand korean fried chicken is twice fried and has a great crunch to it BUT some of the pieces were fried so hard you could barely bite thru it –those were the drumette pieces, the “flat”pieces were not as bad. But the SALT on the soy garlic was overwhelming. The spicy ones were OK. Then there’s the Coke (or Pepsi, whichever it was) issue. We ordered a “coke” and when we needed refills our server brought over a pitcher with “coke” and ice in it which was ok for the first refill, but when we needed a second refill she brought that same pitcher and the ice had melted and the carbonation was gone so it was just basically colored sugar water at that point. Needless to say I don’t think we’ll go for a third strike…fool me once shame on you, fool me twice I deserve to leave disappointed lol.

GHETTO! THE WORST BonChons.I live an hour away and my children love BonChons. I usually don’t come to this one because I have experienced lipstick on my wine glass and I told the bartender and she literally said it wasn’t there when she poured it AND I DONT EVEN WEAR MAKEUP! So I literally went to the one in Mechanicsville and they had a power outage so I drove an additional 30 minutes go the Midlo one. THE CHICKEN WAS NOT DONE! I got 15 minutes down the road and my daughter says it doesn’t taste good at all. I take it back and politely say to the host I don’t know what’s wrong with it but can I get my order remade because it doesn’t taste right she took the bag back to the kitchen and someone else bring the bag out. She asked me with an attitudes what’s wrong with the chicken because I cooked it. She said NO LIE! I MEAN ITS NOT WELL DONE BUT ITS DONE! THEY PROCEEDES TO TELL ME TO PULL OUT A PIECE AND PROVE TO HER WHERE IS NOT DONE! THE WORST SERVICE EVER! Called to speak with a manager and HER MOM IS THE MANAGER AND LITERALLY HANGS UP ON ME !! That place will never ever get my money or my family and friends money ever again!!

Terrible experience, slow service, boneless “wings” were not good at all. Basically 75% batter. Water was refilled once and when I mentioned how hard the wings were to the waiter he responded by saying that’s how they come. Fries were the only redeeming factor.

I feel bad for even saying this came from Bonchon because I have never been to another location and got food like this before! This is just disrespectful to the Bonchon name! First of all their tenders don’t actually look like tenders(they are round) they give more that 1/3 cup of rice in a cup bowl and a teaspoon of ranch in a 1/4 cup container This is just sad and disgraceful! I could have went to the corner store and spent less for better ‍♀️. They should let you rate a negative score for this misinterpretation! NEVER AGAIN!!!
