My family and I have tried this restaurant a few times. On our first visit, we arrived when they first opened and were able to get a table. However, given the limited number of tables available, I would recommend making reservations in advance. If they don’t have seating could do a carryout.

This small town holds a true treasure of a place. You’ll need to book in advance as their tiramisu is an absolute must-try. As soon as you step inside, they serve delightful bread and garlic butter. The deliciousness of it all is unmatched, and there’s ample parking available around the restaurant.

We stumbled onto this place on a Friday early evening, and had a fabulous meal. Family owned, authentic cuisine, homestyle atmosphere, friendly service and a number of gluten free options. Worth the drive…Small space so get reservations well ahead of time or take your chance…

Made our first trip to the Salish. Wanted good local food in Snoqualmie. Gianfranco did NOT disappoint. Hard to find good Italian where we are. Bruschetta was fresh, wife enjoyed her pollo francisco. I had the rigatoni inferno – just a tad seasoned/salty but the plate was hearty and homey with its 3 huge meatballs and sausage that I could not finish half. Will try other plates when we get back.

Not sure how this place has such good reviews, especially when there’s actual good Italian food 20-30min away. I don’t know if we went on an off night or what. We were staying at Salish for the weekend as a staycation and made a reservation here. Got a call the day of the reservation asking if we wanted to come in earlier than 8pm, since they close at 9 and didn’t want us to feel rushed. Should have been a clue from the beginning that it would not be a good experience. The servers were I believe the chef’s family members. It was two girls as the hosts and servers, and we did not get any information about the restaurant or an introduction like one of the other girls gave to the table behind us. We started off with cold bread that looked like it had not been home made. The calamari was actually good, tasted fresh, and delicious. Followed up with an atrocious special of baked gnocchi with prawns- there were a few prawns at the very bottom, and the sauce had led to the gnocchi completely dissolving except for the few at the top. Prawns also certainly did not taste fresh, and were very minimal in portion size compared to the huge amount of sauce loaded on the plate. The sauce itself, I should have realized, had Gorgonzola in it which tasted incredibly strange in combination with the gnocchi and other cheeses, and I was unable to eat more than a few bites of this. I also didn’t take it to go, which I never do, because what a waste. My fiancé’s steak was poorly cooked (medium rare in the middle and over cooked along all the edges), and the veggies were hard and plain. Neither of us enjoyed this and it was not a good experience for a vacation weekend. The ambiance is also off, considering it’s a little family restaurant I was expecting a bit more than paper napkins and green tarp tablecloths.

Best Italian in the area! Very nice stay, easy to reserve a table and not busy feeling because it’s basically all reservations.

The atmosphere is indeed nice and cozy. The food however was subpar. I had the veal piccata which was extremely rubbery and took an effort to cut….with a steak knife. While the wait staff were pleasant, they did not come by often and only got around to refilling our water after the meal was ended. If the restaurant was busy, I would understand this a little more. They were not. I would not go back.

If you find yourself in Snoqualmie for the night, this is THE place to go out for dinner! Little hole in the wall Italian restaurant. The filet dinner is cooked to perfection with balsamic demiglaze. The baked gnocchi with lobster is delicious and soo much food! Also, even if you don’t have room, get the tiramisu! It’s the best we’d ever had!! (And it’s a huge piece, so take it home). We booked online in advance to make sure we got a table!

This restaurant is a hidden gem. We stayed at Salish Lodge, which is amazing, and Gianfranco’s was a little over a mile away. I found it while researching places to have our anniversary dinner and I’m so glad we did. It’s a small place, an intimate place, a place you can take a date or some family. We had 2 items from the specials menu and the portions were huge. I’ve never been big on tiramasu but when they offered us some to help us celebrate we decided to make room in our full tummies and it was amazing. We’re planning on going again, it’s definitely worth the hour drive to enjoy the friendly ambience and the amazing food!

Great service, delicious food. Slightly funky smell sitting near the bathrooms? But overall their food and service is amazing. Recommend the mushroom/sausage pizza (warning: one pizza can serve probably 2-4 people).
