It is hard for me to put into words how much I love Chleo.

My husband and I really enjoyed a light lunch here. The potato rosti and smoked beets were phenomenal! I loved the well balanced gin martini, but the vodka cosmo could be improved. In terms of ambiance, the open concept kitchen is beautifully designed and very entertaining. That being said, the price point is a little high for what you get. Hopefully they will offer mid-week specials to cater to Kingston locals. Regardless, I look forward to coming back soon.

This was our second time coming here, and I truly cannot speak more highly of our dining experiences. We came in early spring and then earlier this week in the height of summer, and the menu was adapted accordingly for the seasons. The ingredients were all incredibly fresh and the food was delicious. Pro tip: order anything that has mushrooms in any way. The mushrooms are always excellent!

Chleo might just be the best restaurant in Kingston at the moment. Everything about it is top notch. The service is exceptional – everyone is warm, welcoming, and attentive. And the FOOD. Absolutely incredible. The menu is small and changes frequently but every dish we’ve had since it opened has been delicious. Interesting and innovative flavors that are at the same time simple and approachable. My only watch out (and it’s a stretch) is that you’re likely to have a favorite dish you want to eat over and over, but the ever-changing menu probably means it won’t be around long! So enjoy while you can!

Really excellent service, and food was divine. Small portions, so make sure to order the equivalent to a small plate and entree each. We enjoyed the seeded crackers, two different seasonal salads and each had the corn tortoloni with sherry butter and chanterelles. Actually one of the best pastas we ever had! Good bar as well. We spent $150 for 2… splurge/special night spot for sure. A bit of a Bay Area vibe, although I read somewhere the owners are from the Midwest! Really loved this spot.

First time here…. creative menu and you can definitely tell they take care in presentation and taste. Only 2 entrées on the menu though, the rest are small plates and bread. Way overpriced…. a side of potatoes, a small portion of steak and 2 glasses of wine $80 … and we left hungry. If you want butter for your bread, it’s $3… ummmm….. seriously? Atmosphere is cool, definitely a tourist spot… “from and to NYC”, probably won’t be returning unless it’s for a glass of wine, which appeared to be the only thing that was comparatively priced to other establishments in the area. Side note; most of the staff, although friendly, did not appear to be local…

Wonderful spot. Such a welcomed dining option in Uptown Kingston. Extremely thoughtful menu, design and incredible staff. I would rate this among the best options in the Hudson Valley. Terrific vegan alternatives and a menu which regularly updates. Don’t miss this (and of course support a wonderful local couple)

Food is well thought out and cooked to perfection, but unfortunately the value is not there. Dinner was ruined when we realized we paid $14 for the better half of a carrot!!! (See photo). Service was disappointing. Sat down and hadn’t even gotten to pour water for ourselves (lol) and already being asked what we wanted to drink- absolutely no interest in being personable. We asked our server how many items she thought was appropriate as she offered zero input on suggestions or directing us to the best way to enjoy the menu. We mentioned that we were hungry & she suggested 2-3 items, we went with 5. $200 bill and we left hungry & went for second dinner after.

Wow! It was an almost silent meal because the food was so good. Excellent cocktails and service. It’s a small place and the menu is not kid friendly, but maybe they do accommodate?

Impressive place however steak entree is a shocking disappointment. All plates are made with care and well presented and served, but the quality of the steak (the most expensive dish) is disappointingly incongruent with the rest of the restaurant. After dining with friends there and very much looking forward to the only meat-forward entree on the menu (the pinnacle of our evening), the steak was hard, chewy, not flavorful and ultimately left a bad taste in our mouths. Even for a butcher’s cut cooked at medium rare, it left a lot to be desired – we didn’t even care to finish it.
