COLD draft beer. Leave your big city attitude behind. Many would consider The South Side a dive bar. This is a small river town with this gem of a gathering place. Catfish or Buffalo. The fish is delectable. Warning though, if you brave the chicken livers and gizzards, bring an appetite! Your plate will be heaped with scorching hot goodness. The staff is down home friendly and will ensure that you are satisfied. With the fish I recommend white bread and onion with mustard. You will have enough for a sandwich with your dining experience!

The lunch special was good & nice portions I just wish they told you the dessert was butterfinger & not butterscotch. Peanut allergy so it would not have ended well if we hadn’t asked first. Waitress just kinda shrugged like she didn’t know or care if it had nuts in it. Maybe she didn’t understand that eating nuts can make a person unable to breathe?

We took a day off and went for a drive. We decided that we wanted fish so we went to Meredosia. This little restaurant and bar had great fish, fried mushrooms,and fried onion rings. We enjoyed the surroundings and license plates on the wall. Service was swift and food was hot and plentiful. Coming back again soon.

Busy but not to bad. Waited 35 mins to get my cold food then other 5 mins for my daughters hot fries and rest warm food. The AC is broke or just didn’t have it on. So it was hot inside. Waitress was ok kept playing on her phone or taking calls. This place use to be good. But, I’m not going back anymore.

Not a great place for food. A. Great bar. If you are hungry go with the specials. The chili was very waterey and drink selection is lacking except for alcohol.
