McMahon had above average dining hall food, however if you are picky you may find yourself disappointed with the number of selections. The pizza, when available, is always a solid choice. McMahon also gets extremely busy during late night, with lines for food wrapping around the whole dining hall.

One of the more dependable Dining Halls on campus to find good food, more hit than miss.

Typically good food, most food at McMahon is prepared like a set meal rather than the buffet style of the other dining halls. This means that it can be very hit or miss with its dining options. It does always have pizza, sandwiches bar thing, moderate drink selections, and good ice cream. But beware it can get very busy!

The food is decent in quality, especially the pizza, but the portion sizes are way too small. The late hours are nice, being open until 10 is convenient for many students.

My daughter brought me here because she is going to Uconn. Not great food but good enough

Their selection can be sparse, since they pre-plate their food and typically go for international options, but I always find their food to be high quality and a nice change of pace from other dining halls. Not to mention, they have late night on weekdays! Very convenient. You’ll need a meal plan / need to know someone with a meal plan to eat here, typically.

It is like a bias coin toss whenever you go here. Most of the time, the food is really bad, only sometimes is good. I hate eating steak here, it’s like chewing rubber. The best thing in this dining hall is the ice cream; at least it’s consistent. Over crowded during the dining hours(expected). Uconn needs to fix its dining problem. Food plan is expensive while the food doesn’t meet the expectation.

I was visiting my daughter. We ate here for lunch. Food was good, very clean and pleasant.

Tries to make “gourmet” fancy dishes, but is often disappointing as they make food such as potato enchiladas. McMahon is very hit or miss and when it misses it is quite sad.
