Food – Tasted great, got the Alfredo and Butter Cake for Dessert. Great flavors, but the pasta dish was a bit small and they charged $8.50 extra to add chicken. Which seemed a bit high.

Food was fairly good, prices a tad high for the quality. A good 80% in terms of Italian food quality, however I’ve had better. I would have rated 4 stars but the host didn’t take me seriously (I’m guessing because I shaved that day and looked younger) and didn’t seat me despite having a reservation until my entire party arrived, what’s the point of a reservation then. Quite an unfortunate demeanor on her part resulting in a loss of a star.

We’ve been looking forward to trying this place for a while. Unfortunately, the experience was less than ideal: tiny portions, cold entrees, and we were unlucky with one inedible plate (linguine de mare)! The server tried really hard to remedy the situation, but it wasn’t enough to alter the sour mood. Quite unfortunate. One star.

Another great lunch at IL Sole! This place is a hidden gem. Chicken parmigiana was excellent. Service was excellent. Luigi goes out of his way to make sure you’re happy and taken care of. Love the menu and vibe of this restaurant. My wife and I have been here several times and never disappointed.

Wife and I had a salad and an entree with two sodas. The bill was $55 plus tip. Service was very slow – Caesar salad was wilty, like it sat in the warming window (plate was warm) and the Pappardelle was cold on top. Our waiter was much more interested in entertaining his friend customers at the next table than waiting on us. Had to flag down another waiter for parmesan. Got water at the table a half hour after we sat down. Never got the check, waited for a long time and then finally went to the front to pay. Food was good but service was really below what I have had here before. Lesson – if your server is entertaining his friends, don’t expect good service!
