Food was surprisingly delicious. We were hesitant from other reviews, but they have the best waffle fries we’d ever had! Ask for extra crispy, they’re happy to adjust for you. Customer service was easily 5-stars too. Chris was behind the reg and was a great face to represent the SquareBurger. Nelson was cooking that night and did an amazing job. We finished our fries and Pumpkin Spice Milkshake then went back for another bucket of fries! We’ll be back for sure. (If you go now for the “Franklin Square Holiday Festival”, you can eat and drink by one of many fire pits and enjoy a ligth show every 30 minutes)

Square Burger is located in Franklin Square Park. It serves burgers, chicken fingers, hotdogs, milkshakes and other goodies. It is the self proclaimed home of the Cake Shake… so of course since we had just ate prior to go to the park it was the natural thing to try. At $5 it wasn’t too expensive and it was tasty. The cake adds a different texture and flavor profile to a normal chocolate or vanilla shake. It wasn’t as thick as I thought it would be and it was very sweet. There is no seating but there are chairs and benches scattered around the park.

Tonight, 11.9.2017, we ordered two hot dogs with cheese and chili. After waiting 10 minutes for our order (hot dogs!), we were handed two hot dogs with a slight coloring of Cheese Whiz and about a teaspoon of chili on each. Okay, NOT what we expected, but tolerable had the bill not been padded. As you can see by the posted menu, each hot dog SHOULD have been $3.50 each (a little steep for a hot dog) plus a dollar more for the chili (.50) and “cheese”(.50). Old school math says each hot dog should have been $4.50, not $5.50, as you can see on the bill. The $2.00 is not going to break us, but how many times a night does this happen and where are those dollars going? Obviously square burger is not making another sale to us.

Nice little burger spot if you’re in Franklin Square and hungry. The burgers were really good and so were the chicken tenders. I also had a milkshake that was really thick and good.

I have been here twice in the past two months. Their food is awesome. Not a huge selection but what they do offer is excellent. I can truly say the best burgers I have ever had. The chicken tenders and fries also taste amazing. If you are in the area I do recommend.

Service was okay, and the food and drinks were fine. But I have to say; I went here (to the park) on a field trip for a good 6 hours once, and this park is where I made lasting memories, and a really tight friendship with a group of people. Would 10/10 recommend for a school trip!!

This place has been going downhill for the past couple years. My last experience was the final meal I will have there. We went on Friday shortly before noon and they were out of ice cream, lemonade & lettuce. The burger roll was stale & the burger was bland. Not sure if this is still owned by Steven Star, but it has been completely forgotten for quality control. Used to be one of my favorite burgers in the city, now it’s just over priced burgers that taste like 90% of the burgers you can get anywhere else. Also, what happened to dicing the veggies? I know you stopped doing that last season or before, but that was a great touch.

I had the Burger of the month and Shake of the month. The burger patty was HUGE and cooked perfectly to my taste. The shake was the Fortune Cookie and it was pretty yummy 🙂 Over all very pleased! Highly recommend for a reasonably priced fast bite

Walking through Philly with my friend and I noticed that we were passing “Franklin Square Park” so I told him to stop because I heard of this spot from yelp and I had to expierence it. As I approach the kiosk I see the staff cleaning up, looking like they were ready to go home. I look at my watch and notice that it’s 5:56 and they close at 6. So instead of being “That Customer” I asked them when they would be re-opening, to which they told me, “It’s not problem man go ahead and order something if you want it you still have time.” Now THAT’S customer service! I was impressed because I know if I was in their shoes I probably wouldn’t have been so nice.

Delicious! We went to Franklin Square for the first time yesterday, and was told me MUST get a cake shake from SquareBurger. It was amazing, and a perfect blend of Philly flavors. We highly recommend it!
