Five Dogs Ranch
A build your own burger spot with a full bar and local brews with some really good tasting beef. It’s blend of ground Angus Chuck, brisket and short rib. Made for some damn good burgers. I ordered mine with American cheese, bacon, avocado, grilled onion, lettuce and bbq sauce. Wife ordered the crispy chicken salad with ranch. It had a really good potion of crispy chicken and the lettuce was crisp and fresh. As an appetizer we ordered the macaroni and cheese fries. That was first for me, they were good. Probably a kids favorite; best of two worlds. If your in Durango; you don’t have to be staying at the Holiday Inn, but it is located inside, definitely recommended.

I wish I had taken a before picture but I’m thinking an empty plate is a great compliment to the chef! Our server was non stop working but you never felt like he was overloaded with tasks. So glad we decided to pop in here after a long day of traveling!

40 minutes from ordering to delivery of food – 3 tables of dining guests in entire restaurant plus 4 folks at the bar. We each ordered burgers – the only thing they serve aside from some appetizers and a couple salads – also onion rings. Wanted to try their bbq sauce on the side. Delivered our burgers and rings on a metal tray – we had to ask for silverware and napkins. Server brought 4 paper napkins and one cloth napkin wrapped single serving of silverware. My hubby and shared the knife to cut our burgers. We asked medium well and received charred on the outside and cold pink on inside burgers. Onion rings had been finished for some time…. The bbq sauce was not served. Had to request refill on water. This placed shares space with Holiday Inn Suites. Holiday Inn should be embarrassed!

Best burger you’ll ever taste. I got a bacon and sautéed mushroom single, and my boyfriend got a fried egg double. Both with KGB sauce and fries. We also got some Buffalo wings that were delicious. AMAZING!!!

My whole family chose to build their own burger. There were many choices for toppings, sides, etc. We were all pleased with the taste and the fries were good too. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food since we were unsure what to expect of a restaurant attached to a hotel.

I can’t say about the burgers since we were only here for breakfast. The breakfast buffet was a bit limited (as any other hotel breakfast), however the flavor of the food was really good (I usually don’t like the breakfast buffet at hotels). The best part was the staff, I cannot remember the name but she was super nice, she made our breakfast top notch.

We had an awesome night at Burger Theory. The food was so good. Love the build your burger idea. The regular fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings were delicious. CJ was great to talk with and provided excellent service. He made a great brandi old fashion and we learned that we grew up close together in Wisconsin. Small world. Great way to end the day in Durango. Don’t be fooled that this place is inside a Holiday Inn, go there and get some outstanding eats!!!
