Translated from the Spanish as the little palm, La Palmita Restaurant, located on a busy Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights, serves Hispanic food predominantly Dominican cuisine. Parking could be a little tricky, depending on the time of day. First-timer at this storefront establishment under new management whose interior was cozy with a few tables. They have food already prepared, especially when you’re on your lunch break, and it is convenient. Numerous lunch special options are offered for $12, and I ordered the costilla de cerdo guisada (stewed pork ribs) with black beans over white rice. This place is exactly what was needed, as the food is homemade, authentic, and tasty at a decent price. Make sure to bring cash, as they charge a bit more for credit cards. I could recommend this place.

The best Hispanic cuisine around, located on the Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights. The food is always fresh and delicious, they carry many different dishes. There empanadas are made fresh on the spot when you order. The staff is super friendly and courteous. The prices are very responsible. I’ve eaten here several times and was never disappointed, the food and staff were very good.

I had take out from here 1 time and it was pretty good. However, when I went back the 2nd time there were ants crawling all over the counter where the hot food was set up. I didn’t say anything I just said no thanks and walked out. I will never eat there again. Very disappointed

The oxtails with rice and beans was DELICIOUS. I Just wish they had a Facebook page, and market their menu more. I highly recommend this place.

Authentic Dominican food at reasonable prices. Great service and a great menu that revolves so you won’t get tired of eating there multiple times a week. There’s always a good variety. I’ve been back a couple of times and will continue to return.

The food is average, what turned me off is the false advertisement. The menu posted on the window and in the restaurant clearly indicated the lunch is $8 during week. But was told inside it’s $12 when paying, so I asked why post it on the window it’s $8 then, I got a shrug of the shoulders! Seriously, and they don’t even have half of the food that’s on the menu. Not cool and so will not return to this location!
