The server ,Patrick (I believe)was great. He actually made me give 5stars as well as our group of 6 trip worth it. Food needed some help. Most of us ordered some type of eggs Benedict and all but one of us had egg yolks the consistency of hard boiled. But again service was top notch and will be the reason we come back.

Meals were supposed to come with fries. The fries were missing. Grouper sandwich tasted like it was seasoned in a pound of salt. Chicken sandwich was tough and tasteless. Needless to say our dog ended up with the meals because they were so bad. Glad there are so many options in Lakewood to eat at other than Westend Tavern.

The server was exceptional. She said she was typically a server but then made a drink for the two men beside us that they raved about. They closed early in the afternoon but planned on reopening later, I’m guessing due to the amount of business at the time, which was a little disappointing but I guess understandable. We didn’t try the food since we had just eaten and their kitchen was closing early.

Honestly, West End Tavern, and I emphasize the word TAVERN, had delicious food.The Cobb salad was superb, the quesidia was fantastic, and the chicken tenders were perfect. So much more enjoyable than some restaurant food! The atmosphere was cozy and friendly. Service was wonderful considering our server tended bar as well as serving food! I highly recommend paying this tavern a visit.

The awful bartender, who had a terrible attitude wanted a tip for screwing up every tab and drink. This place should offer free drinks for the incompetence and rotten attitude of its staff. I’ve never seen such inept bartending and customer service. Unless you’re a 20-something who doesn’t know any better, avoid this place at all costs.
