Along the Way in USA & Beyond
The ambiance at Il Bel Lago is cozy and romantic. We enjoyed this spinach salad and lasagna. Each dish is prepared with fresh ingredients and us unbelievably tasty. The manager on duty and our waiter Gerard was very attentive. We were celebrating my daughter’s 21st birthday and they certainly are her feel special. I highly recommend this restaurant for your special occasion!

Lunch or dinner. This restaurant is a great get to know everything they have. Great selection. Lunch is no doubt my favorite. Calamari is an appetizer on the dinner menu. Frank Gabriele and his familie’s restaurant is a tragedy to miss if you’re in StLouis. Great atmosphere and wonderfully Sicilian dinner. A veal Marsala to die for, and you can tell they love the food biz! Try everything including the meatballs!

Changing my review from 5-Star to 2-Star. We’ve been eating at Il Bel Lago for years. In the past, they’ve always had great service and spectacular food. Unfortunately, our most recent visit over Memorial Day weekend was less than spectacular. The food was great as usual, but our waiter was rude and slow. I think had a bad waiter that tried to be funny by being condescending and rude. We will revisit the restaurant one time to see if this is a trend or a fluke.

If you are ever in the area, this restaurant should definitely be on your list. Great ambiance for those specials days, date nights, business or family gatherings. The customer service was on point, the food delicious. Best lamb I’ve had . I also ordered a small smoked salmon pasta, sauced just right and the Tiramisu I enjoyed indulging in!!! We even got the chance to meet the chef himself. I wish I took more pictures as they have a full bar and more dining area. Thank you for the experience and we will definitely be back.

Great hidden gem. Stopped by change and was analyzing. Service was excellent. Food was perfect. Nice ambiance. Sat on patio and was perfect. Gina was amazing bartender , waitress , jack of all trade , ball of fire. One person running the whole place. Need more people like her. Strawberry chicken balsamic salad and margarita pizza was perfect.
