I won’t lie. Despite this restaurant being local for me, I’ll make a drive to Springfield first if I’m REALLY craving a good Chinese buffet. This one is simply ‘ok’. The selection isn’t too varied, & it never changes. If you get there right at opening, it’s fresh, & hot. Anytime after that, you’re spinning the wheel of chance. I’ve gone right before a dinner switch before, when you’d THINK it would be fresh. Nope! Sweet & sour chicken chunks so dried out, they were like jerky. Literally made me sick to my stomach after. The service typically is fantastic. The food just mediocre. But it’s not as pricey as the Springfield buffet, so there’s that…and they’re definitely a step up from the one that used to be on Pershing. I can see why they closed that one down. It was terrible all across the board.

We have been long customers here for a long time off and on, less and less frequently lately. Yesterday we gave it a try again and a sign posted said prices would be going up. A few hours later, my husband became very ill. He was the ony one that ate the chicken wings, so it must’ve been that. The place is going downhill, sad to say. We tried to call to tell them the situation, but could not get through. Management must carefully consider raising prices!

Love Chinese food but this used to be my favorite place. Sugar donuts hard as a brick. Not hardly any beef options ( peppered beef was all) and I can’t eat green peppers. Fried sushi was ice cold. It’s just not what it used to be. I think I’ll stick to take out.
