The meats were good, but the sides could use an upgrade. Flavor was there for some of the sides (sweet potato fries, pickle chips, onion rings). The RD3 was very delicious. The white sauce is worth a try it pairs well with the pickle chips. There are no fountain drinks, but there is beer and some alcohol. Additionally, you order from the counter, but there are tables to sit. The food is Ala cart about $11-16 and they do have a kid’s menu.

Lately our go to for BBQ, I like their pulled pork sandwich with a side of sweet potatoes fries! My husband got the full slab with regular fries and that was delicious also. Grabbed a brownie to go and a taffy apple bread pudding with maple bourbon glaze and can’t wait to try it later but looks amazing!

I ordered the full slab, and a combo with the burnt ends, pulled pork, and brisket. My sides were sweet potato fries, fried pickles, and Mac and cheese. I also got a beer and a bacon chocolate chip cookie. I spent just under $75. It was my first time visiting and it was just okay. I would go back but I would only get a simple pulled pork sandwich or the brisket. The Mac and cheese was trash and the cookie that I had was crumbly & terrible. The customer service was basic. A I’m young & don’t want to be here vibe. The floor to the bathroom was extremely slippery. I glided strait to the stall. I didn’t get award winning but again, I’d go back for a sandwich and fries.

The smoked chicken was really good. That’s about it. I also had the burnt ends, 2 of the five pieces were nothing but chuncks of of fat. The brisket was very fatty all through the meat amd that gave off an unpleasant taste. The pulled pork was only slightly less tasty than mediocre. I have included a picture of where the majority of my $35 went.

Firewater BBQ is delicious! If you’re looking for a filling meal, especially if you’re infatuated with BBQ, this place will literally roll you out the door. The portion sizes are fairly large, I couldn’t even finish my burger! However, for those who aren’t so into BBQ sauce, you’ll find the food to be sort of dry. This place should add a new sauce or some common wet element to their food. Overall, very fantastic restaurant.

Nobody in the suburbs, has amazing cuts of meat and barbecue like that of Fire Water in Geneva, IL. Every time I’ve gone here the food and service is always awesome! Great music too!

Was out in Geneva so we hit Firewater after our appointment. No idea why we haven’t tried this place sooner as we have one in Lombard. Portions were generous. My husband and I each had a two meat combo. Rib tips excellent. Side of potato salad reminded my husband of the potato salad his mother use to make with plenty of dill.

This place is a joke. If you know and enjoy real BBQ this is not the place for you! If you’ve only had chain restaurant type BBQ then you might like it. Let me start with the staff, the guy at the register has no clue about the the product they serve. I sat at the messy unorganized bar, so I got to witness him give people misinformation. He told one guy that they smoke the ribs for 14+hrs that’s why they taste so good!! I’m laughing in my head, while a female employee from the back came out and corrected him saying only 5hrs.
