Two stars. That’s one for a good sandwich and one because I’m a firefighter. I won’t eat here again though. Every trip is a fiasco. Horrible customer service. I know the menu better than their employees do. As I’m typing this we pull up to the window and the kid working the window might be 11 at the oldest. I don’t know what kind of sweatshop sandwich store this is but I’m done here.

I have eaten the firehouse sub in Laporte maybe a year and a half or two years ago and really liked it and hadn’t thought about it again until today when I was driving around and hadn’t eaten anything all morning and I happen to be going right by it and I pulled in it is a very nice clean restaurant they have a large number of options for sandwiches from clubs to the steak and cheese and poor boys. There was a kid maybe 10 or 12 working the cash register and his brother over helping prepare the The sandwiches I asked him how he got a job there at such a young age and he pointed and said that’s my mother. I called her aside and said look I’m very proud of you for doing this in boys will be better mentor someday and I told both them boys I am glad to see you here You will learn something here you can’t learn anyplace else. As I expected the sandwich was exemplary I had a pickle that was very good had that homemade taste. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a good sandwich shop.

Waited 30 minutes for one sandwich. Ended up just eating my chips and leaving, without a sandwich. Six other customers who ordered ahead of me had not gotten their food and didn’t have time to wait around any longer for an overpriced sandwich.

My first time ordered 2 footlongs cut in half sloppy wrapped all 4 half’s were put in long sandwiches holder when wrapped w half paper wrap I called later asked worker corp # no number to area manager but. Got a called bk I explained to train girl & boy no wonder place was empty at noon Laporte Restaurant. Subway or Schlotzsky’s is better

Ordered through the drive through and the employee told me to look at the menu when i asked what came with the meal. Got to the window to get my order and employee dropped my card before i even reached out for it and it fell under my truck. She said she would get someone to come out and get it as i could not get out with out pulling up and there was a long line of customers behind me. Someone would have drove over my card. The guy who came out got me my card and she said i should have gotten out of my truck to get it myself and she slammed the service window shut and would not come back to the window. She dropped the card. She should be fired on the spot. As i am seeing many complaints about bad customer service and rude employees and the owner seems to respond to all of them yet also seems nothing is being done. Sad that being short staffed and lack of finding good employees results in this kind of service. The owner should at least have a manager that can handle these issues and would not doubt if this employee is the manager. My advise is do not go to this location and the sad thing is because of lack of good management/ownwership the firefighters are the ones that suffer from it.

The subs are just okay. Mine came with like 3 inches thick of bread and very little actual meat. Felt like I was eating nothing but bread honestly. The kids working here all the time, also seems like he does not really want to be there. Half the time they are out of certain ingredients. Definitely for the price, just go to Subway. Cheaper and better.

I normally understand under staffing, but this is the second time that this location is understaffed during lunch time. There was only 2 people there, 1 on the drive thru and the other to take calls and manage the store front. It is lunch time and it is very busy that people waiting to order were leaving and it took me 30 minutes to get 2 sandwiches. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Sandwiches were made incorrectly, inside of location was dirty and there were only 2 other customers inside picking up take out orders. The employees that were there weren’t very polite, didnt greet me when I walked in or anything. Very disappointed as this place has usually been really great.
