My wife and I stopped in on a Tuesday around 1:30 pm and the place was packed. We found out that it was the second day they have been open since the tornado blew through town and closed them for a while. We had to wait for a couple of tables to clear out before we were able to sit down.

Great find while in town for business. This place is like a diner, lots of choices in menu and I went with the pulled pork plate. Top notch, meat was very moist and flavorful (I wasn’t able to figure out the unique spice they use in sauce, has an unusual wango-tango flavor……freaking great !!!!!!! Sides were good, nice size portions, all around a great place to eat!!!!

On vacation from southern Illinois. Stopped in for dinner with my family. Nice diner atmosphere. I bought the pulled pork sandwich, couldn’t really tell there was any BBQ on it. The pork was nice and tender, not overly dry…but could have used more flavor. My son got the ribs, which he said they were really good. Service wasn’t the greatest…she did check on us and refill drinks. Just was not friendly at all. Same with the lady that took my payment. As soon as I went up to pay, she went in the room behind the register for a few minutes. Came back…there was no ‘hi, hello, how was everything?’ No smile…she just took my receipt and gave me my total. Customer service is half the experience in my opinion.

I come to Benton for work, and my car turns into the parking lot every time! Never had anything bad! Always delicious!!! Normally l just ask what the daily special is, yummy as hell! If you don’t come , at least just Thur the drive through and eat here you might be slightly off in the head! Check yourself!

Absolutely loved this restaurant. My wife and I moved from New York and we miss mom and pops business. Visiting here really brought back some great memories and the staff and owners are very friendly and welcoming. This is our favorite restaurant in Kentucky.

Our daughter moved to Benton and that is the reason for our visit to Hutchens BBQ. This place has been around for years and the building reminds you of an old mom & pop dairy freeze or dairy bar type establishment. The interior looks like it may have 50 years ago. I had the grilled cheese bbq sandwich and it was great. The potato salad is home made and for dessert I had the Heath Bar Cake. The menu specials change daily but the mainstay is the bbq. I can’t wait to come back on my next visit. PS. They also serve breakfast.

Homegrown BBQ of Benton, KY! Nice spot, limited seating. Bbq meats and catfish are good, slaw, homemade string fries are the best :), sides were good. Served hot and fresh with attentive helpful, nice waitress. Only suggestion I have is that the sweet BBQ sauce needs a comeback! This place is run by a lot of sweet people though!

You have to try the BBQ Grilled Cheese sandwich. The buttered and grilled Texas Toast along with the cheese and BBQ is a great combo. Get some of their onion rings to go with it and you won’t regret it.
