I stopped here for dinner at 6 pm and the place was packed. I was seated right away, and my server took my drink order. When she came back, I ordered the Country Fried Steak along with American Fries. It was served right away, and it was really nothing to look at, but boy did it taste good. The steak was very tender and flavorful. There was plenty of gravy and the American Fries were perfectly cooked.

The gentleman that was our server did an excellent job at our table for us. He brought us everything we needed and then some. He is one of the bigger reasons we will come back again. Wish we knew his name. Service was great, food was great, and cost was affordable. All around, it is a good resteraunt and good place to eat

My partner and I love going out for breakfast but we’re also not always good at getting up in the morning. We frequent Black Bear pretty often because the wide range of hours make it easy to make it in.

Great diner, excellent service–amazing food! Really love the large variety served all day allowing for everyone to get what they’re in the mood for. Plus, they have great specials–and I like that their dinners, including the specials, come with soup/salad, potato (except rice/pasta dishes) and a dessert. Plus everything can easily be packaged to-go, like soup and dessert. Can’t say anything against them.

Had a very wonderful dinner with my family here tonight. Our server, Autumn, was very friendly and attentive. The broasted chicken was very juicy and the sweet potato fries were some of the best we’ve had at a restaurant.

We came to the Black Bear as it is local to us and looked like a nice place to have a Saturday breakfast. Here you’ll find the typical American fair along with a few curveballs like the “gyro meat sandwich” which I think I may have to try in the future.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant but not this location. Black Bear reopened what was previously a diner as well. We attempted to visit the past weekend but could not find any parking available. I believe the diner has a lot more capacity for customers than they may have for parking. As such, if you can manage to park, I do not believe you will feel crowded inside. On this day, a Thursday morning around 9:30, parking was still at a premium but there were perhaps 4 spots available.

The food is, like everyone says, very good. Service is fast. With 6 only other customers in the restaurant it was noisy. Silverware clanging, conversations impossible to ignore and the people were not talking loudly, radio interfering with conversations. Waitress misheard my order and two others. Most common word was “What?” I plan on take out. Even at the register there the word was “what” from the employee when someone else was talking.
