At our Richmond, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This was my first and last visit to Captain D’S today. I got my food through the drive through and took it home less than a mile away. My food was cold, very bland, greasy and inedible My wife and I only took a couple bites before throwing 25 bucks of food into the garbage. If you want good fish, just keep driving North to Lexington and get some Charlie’s Seafood.

I enjoy Captain D’s. I ordered the Cajun catfish sandwich and the regular spicy fish sandwich. The regular spicy fish sandwich is my favorite. The catfish is never cooked enough here. The service is awesome here, every time I order. Will definitely be back.
