I’m originally from Boston, Mass and I haven’t had Haitian food since I left 19 years ago. Today I got to feel like I was back at home. The restaurant makes you feel like you are in a cafe in Haiti. The hostess chastity was so nice and pleasant. Our waitress was so helpful with everything. Chastity literally helped us choose our entire meal from drinks to dessert and she was on point with it. The food was so good. It brought me back to childhood and growing up in Brockton. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I will definitely be making the trip from Baton rouge back to Nola for this meal again.

Really good! Even our Uber driver commented on the restaurant being excellent when he dropped us off. The staff was accommodating for our larger party and let us spread out while we waited for a larger table. The food was exceptional with a number of vegetarian options. Can’t wait to go back someday and try the rest.

I enjoyed my experience and food at Fritai. The owner and chef was also very pleasant. As a haitian-american I would say the food there mimics Haitian food but the taste and texture favors southern cooking. It was still good none the less, and I’d go back again. THE KREMAS WAS ON POINT! I also appreciated the modernized menu, decor, and atmosphere of the restaurant. It was very pleasant. Good job chef~

I loved my first visit to Frittai! Food is delicious, and the service was gracious and easy-going. The restaurant’s bar and cocktail program ought not be overlooked. Their intentional emphasis on the Haitian spirits delivers something unique and playful. I recommend a Clairihna or their Jungle Bird.

Visiting from Oregon, wanted to try restaurants near my friends place in the 7th Ward. Lively, colorful atmosphere. Really enjoyed the drinks & dessert. Need some more season/spice for that 5th star. Overall enjoyed ourselves & the vibe.

This was my favorite meal from my NOLA visit in February. I’m only here to ask you to order the grilled shrimp pikliz. Please.

We didn’t get to try a wide variety so that’s why I gave 4 stars, but what we did try was wonderful. The pork was a little dry, but tasted great. Our server was delightful and the atmosphere was fun and colorful. My husband loved trying the different soda!

My fiancé and I were visiting from Florida and decided to come to this restaurant. I will start off by saying the place was very aesthetically pleasing. Beautiful paintings and good mix of culturally appropriate music. 10/10 The drinks were just ok. Nothing I would want to reorder. 6/10 We had the passionfruit bbq chicken. It was very good. 10/10 we also ordered the griot, and it came with rice and beans. We have it a 2/10. The rice was mushy and bland. The griot was over fried and had NO flavor. The pikliz was made with what look like coleslaw mix and it was very watery. It lacked the spice that pikliz usually has. We also ordered the fritay sandwich. 1/10 it was absolutely horrible. The fried plantains were hard and seemed like they were pre fried and not fresh at all. I asked for chicken in it and the chicken was bland. It came with an avocado dip and plantain chips. The avocado dip was a purée of avocados and nothing else. No flavor at all. Over all, we would give this place a 3/10. And will definitely pass.

The food is delicious, service is excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect for unwinding and having a good time. Drinks were served quickly and they don’t hold back on the cocktails – the Old Haitian was delicious yet strong. Appetizer (plantain chips) came out quickly as well. Mains were excellent (Lambi Kreyole; Legim) with unique flavors that complemented each other. I was a bit skeptical of the conch because I don’t like oysters, but it was really good! The restaurant and restrooms were extremely clean. Loved this place!
