Busy place and understaffed like many places but everyone was working hard to serve customers. Our server last night was so friendly and efficient. View and atmosphere were great. Best grilled chicken sandwich ever!

A perfect day to have lunch outside in a clean, pleasant, bar & grill environment! As so many places are, in the Northwoods, it was “Cash Only”. We were seated at a table immediately, by a very friendly server…but had quite a wait for our sandwiches with only one chef grilling (even though we had gotten there just ahead of the peak lunch crowd). Despite our burger and grilled chicken breast sandwich prices being over $15 a piece, the burger appeared to be half pound, juicy, and I understand, totally delicious! The grilled chicken breast was superbly seasoned (maybe marinated), twice the size of the generously delicious Brioche bun, and the swiss and red onions were plentiful! The best grilled chicken that I have ever had. We were surprised with free soda refills, despite it being in a bar atmosphere, which helped immensely with the wait! We would go back in a second, and next time I will need to bring my husband!! He will love it!

Anglers never disappoints. I have enjoyed Angler several times and enjoy the service, setting, menu and view of the lake. This is definitely a big step up for Northern Wisconsin dining. I enjoyed the fish sandwich with a side of their homemade gumbo. Both were delicious.

The patio was nice after the sun went down. We should have eaten from the menu that was provided outside. The steak sandwich looked bomb. Unfortunately we went inside. Super high prices, I’m guessing because of the location. We stuck to some appetizers, just okay. Our waitress was friendly and eager to please. But I do have to say that the view from across the street was unbelievable!

We sat at the bar because we didn’t think a res would be needed for a Thursday night. Everyone was super nice and people who ordered a dinner got a neat thing that sits on the edge of the bar so you can eat your food comfortably. I however ordered a pizza and had to continue to lean so nothing fell. Mind you the pizza was delicious but felt left out in that respect.

If you have young kids, don’t come here. They do not accommodate kids, in fact they do not want kids here. They have an outside area on a lake where many families come yet the lady behind the outside bar will make it known you aren’t welcome. Won’t be back.

I had the Ribeye steak sandwich and it was awesome along with the gumbo soup. Hospitality was on point. Extremely clean and cozy environment. Good for kids and a quiet meal. Easy to find parking was easy as well.
