Was in Japantown on a busy Sunday and had to stop by here since a friend of mine told me that they had some Onigiri’s an Mitarashi Dango!

This shop has been here for so many years! I always dropped by when I was still in high school.

Wish more places sold traditional Japanese (correct me if I’m wrong) streetfood like this. Props to the staff and owner for keeping this place going.

We ate their fruit mochi and it was absolutely delicious. The pineapple mochi tasted like a Haribo gummy bear. The mango is good and so is the peach. The mochi was overall very chewy and stretchy. I recommend this mochi if you’re a person who like to eat dessert.

Anne and her family were so helpful when I needed a last minute tray for a co-workers surprise luncheon at work. Easy to work with and super convient to pick up the trays at their location in Japantown. Everyone loved the mochi so much that we ordered more for the full office the following week! Definitely recommend especially their sakura mochi!

Spicy tuna was the best onigiri out of the three. I got the spicy tuna, Tenmusu (shrimp tempura), and the spicy furikake spam.

Onigiri made to order! Absolutely delicious. It can take a few mins to get your order — but that’s understandable as it’s made fresh and the kiosk is always busy! The owner is SO sweet to my daughter – often giving her a sticker 🙂

Our son loved Dango on our trip to Japan several years ago but we had never seen it in any Japanese restaurant in the US. We were surprised by the quality and authenticity of the Dango at Kissako, served in Japan town, San Francisco. It also has great drinks but the main attraction is the Dango.

I’ve been visiting the Japan Center mall since I was in high school, I’ve never failed to visit this shop. It is a part of every trip because I love their small plate offerings! I’ve gotten to try so many different onigiri thanks to their reasonable prices and fair portions (and well distributed fillings!)
