Best coffee in the UP. They grind on site and sell whole/ground coffee. I tried their in-house made vanilla syrup in my coffee and it was SO good.

I got black coffee here and it was flavorful, nice sourness, and not harsh. Had a taste like it was brewed with care and not a mass produced large brewer. My gf got an iced vanilla latte and enjoyed it a lot as well. They also had a picture of the Dalai Lama with a cup of their coffee which was pretty cool – he was probably moving his kid into Northern Michigan 7.5/10.

Loved the coffee beans for sale here. Was just visiting the area, but I will be back when I can! I received a free cup of coffee with the purchase of beans. I’m pretty sure the owner was helping me themselves, and they were super pleasant and made the perfect amount of small talk.

Dead River Coffee Roasters is, to my estimation and thorough local experience, the best Marquette (and I might even argue greater Michigan) has to offer. Sloan and her amazing staff of wonderfully talented and friendly individuals, treat you like a friend of the family each time you’re in. The coffee is to die for and if you’re a home brewer, it’s the best supply of beans (completely roasted in house, with a multitude of variety) you will ever find. A pound of Dead River is a pound of pure delight, no matter how you take it; black, flat white, a little razzle dazzle, or something off the wall entirely, Dead River Coffee Roasters has what you need. Pure Delight.

We just happened to pass by exploring downtown and popped in for a coffee and hot cocoa. My daughter got a hot cocoa and thought it was delightful. She was happy she could drink it almost right away, it was hot but not scolding. I got a cold brew with vanilla and um, wow! I drank the whole thing!!! It was my first time having one and I am sold! My husband got a vanilla mocha and we were a happy family!

Purchased some delicious single origin coffee beans for my V60. I also received a batch brew coffee with my beans which was beautiful. This is a great place to get coffee in Marquette.

I really enjoyed our visit here! This place is so special, definitely the coolest coffee shop I’ve ever been to! Loved the vibe! Happened upon a really fun cribbage game which only added to the ambiance. The smell of fresh roasted coffee beans, music playing lightly in the background and lots of things to look at. I love the sound the coffee roaster makes, would be a great noise to sleep to

Omg!!! The people here are so nice!!! The barista was super nice and the older gentlemen was funny and hopefully after the nice lady and I told the barista about Muriel’s Wedding she’ll watch it!!! I got some beautiful roasted dark coffee beans from Nicaragua. And the guy really knows his coffee!!! He also gave me a dead river mask which I love and also get those dark chocolate expresso beans . They also made me trip unforgettable by telling me to go see the black rocks which are 1.7 billion years old. It was my first walk outside since being severely sick for two months with covid. I had an incredible time and I really can’t thank you guys enough. After all the things that happen last year to start this year off with so many beauty moments I’m just really full of gratitude. Thanks so much guys and hope to see you guys again.
