We thought we would give Papa Johns a try after seeing the New York style XL advertised and we were extremely disappointed. First of all the pizza was delivered cold and 20 minutes after their estimated delivery time. It took 32 minutes to arrive after I received a text stating the pizza was on its way. (We are a 7 min drive from their location, and this was on a Monday night)

I wouldn’t know how the food is because I didn’t get that far. I called to ask a question about the size of an online pizza special. Dude on the line first seemed annoyed and told me that special was online only. I said I figured but couldn’t tell the size of the pizza in the special, could he please tell me. Apparently, he said it was a large, said the diameter, and the number of slices. With two kids in my background, I missed that he said it was a large. I asked “so is that like a large” was going to ask if it could be ordered in an XL but before I got that out he rudely said “I already said it’s a large!” I hung up and ordered from Tomacelli’s, who were incredibly nice and provided great customer service, unlike this person at Papa John’s. With so many choices, don’t waste your time or money on a place with rude service.

*Update: I decided to try Papa John’s again because the other places have gone down hill. They came through with delicious Pizza, wings, and cinnamon roll bites (or whatever) that you’ve got to be careful that you don’t eat them all in one sitting. Great job!

Not sure if it was a bad night or what, but the two pizzas I received looked like sloth from the goonies, tasted like aspic, and the pepperoncini was essentially a melted green plastic army man. Order was on time though, and the wings were good

SUPER BUMMED:( Was in the Twin Cities last weekend and everyone wanted pizza. Since I can’t have gluten, I was SUPER excited to see that Papa John’s has a Gluten free crust!! It was delicious! Crispy crust and never would have even known it was GF!

We called to order with a Big Sioux Coupon and they outsourced to foreign call center. They have no idea what the Big Sioux Coupon is and there is no code on the coupon. I asked to cancel my order before the call was over and they kept telling me that the order was being made. Yikes! No thanks
