Located on the west side of Marion, Indiana, we serve the best food and drinks in the entire Grant County area. We are known for our famous fish dinners as well as our “at home” atmosphere. Come in for our daily lunch and dinner specials and, of course, we serve the coldest beer in town. Check out our new Patio opened in 2022. Currently a 21 and up establishment.

So we have been wanting to try Dons for awhile…we finally made it and we definately will be coming back! We both had yhe special which qas the bacon mac and cheese burger. Folks….this thing is delicious!!. The service was top notch. We sat on the patio and even the setting out there was awesome. Had the half and half iced tea and it was great! We will be regulars here for sure. HIGHLY reccommended and not over priced.

I really enjoy this place. I ate here both times I traveled to this area for work, and I was not dissatisfied at all. The fish and chips was absolutely great and the selection of sauces makes it taste better every time. I also appreciated the smoking area and general friendliness of the staff. My only complaint is that both times when I have gone to pay, the cards given for each check got mixed up and I didn’t pay for the right food the first time, which was extra annoying because of the work/personal split of the meal. It was always corrected, after a difficult explanation to the wait staff. Either way, great job guys and I’ll see you again if I’m in the area.

Staff was great. Good talk with the owner. Clean bathrooms! Fish was delicious. And taco potatoes skins were yummy according to my wife. Great trip on the motorcycle. Bar area and other dinner room and patio. Very clean and happy place.

Nothing beats an old-time bar where even strangers greet you and you’re treated like a regular as part of the family. That’s Don’s Tap. A fancy sports bar doesn’t always bring the atmosphere that makes Don’s a blue collar gem with fabulous food, warmhearted bartenders, and an atmosphere allowing me to mellow out, reflect on life, and watch the game. If you’re hungry, you WILL be fed well. Probably into the next day, with their all you can eat fish and sometimes shrimp, clam strips, and chicken tenders or wings. It’s a place to let go of what’s outside, have a heaping hot meal with icy cold beers and think, “ain’t America great”?

I ordered the cheese and meat plate. It shows on their website that it has braunswiger onions and pickle. I got dried out slices of whatever. No onions or pickle.The cheese slices was dried out on the outside, like it sat in the refrigerator over night uncovered. I went there to order pizza to go. No more pizza! I do love the fish. The four servers were congregating and ignoring customers. I asked for a to go box and she took 20 minutes to bring them to me. There was only 1 guy at the bar and me and my wife. That’s a little extreme and or on purpose. I’m not going back.

Our waitress was wonderful but the door opening and closing made sitting near the door cold and we all kept our jackets on. Our group had hor d oeuvres, they were hot and delicious but our entrees were a long time before they were served and were cold. We are going to give it another try maybe off the night we were there.
