This is a nice little family restaurant. The interior is clean and tastefully decorated with comfortable booths and unique artwork. Though it was busy, there were plenty of available seats. Our orders were taken promptly, and the food served with almost no wait. I had the enchiladas verde with well-seasoned rice and beans. Their refried beans are made with a special red pepper paste made in-house. Everything tasted great, and the staff are polite and friendly.

Excellent food. I will definitely go back. Service wasn’t horrible at all, but could use a bit more effort. Seemed like a new server getting use to the job. Still did well… Have been back several times, and this is my new favorite Mexican Restaurant in the Gatesville area. Service is great! Food is great!

I didn’t think I liked refried beans until I had theres! So yummy! I always get it on the side so I can enjoy . ☺️ I typically get the breakfast burritos which are aways on point and the steak burrito when I need a lunch. Nothing fancy but always on point. I’ve only ate inside once or twice due to this being my treat when I don’t feel like eating my meal prep. They have definitely upgraded inside since the last time I ate inside which looks nice but more cramped. I work at one of the local prisons and stay at the barracks in town. This spot is definitely my go to for Mexican when I’m in there.

I came to the drive through which is a large screen so I thought it was shut down, I park in their tiny parking lot with my car noticing trucks have difficulties fitting in the spaces. I ordered a beef fajita burrito for the cash price of 5.95, unsure of the credit/debit price which seemed a little high to me. I get the burrito to go after about 20 minutes of waiting and it’s skinny, double wrapped in foil. When I bite into the burrito it tastes a little funny, meat is dry. I look and half the meat is burned, the beans they spoke of were only in the bottom inch of the burrito. The tortilla was very flaky as well, seems like they have some quality issues in the kitchen. For the price there are much better options out there, and I’ve had better food at McDonald’s sadly, I’m disappointed in myself for trying them instead of El Tapatio or Rodeo. The reason I don’t give a 1 is because it was not good but still edible and the burrito was wrapped nice and tight.

Would not recommend to anyone that has been to an authentic Mexican restaurant. My group of 4 ppl ordered food and were all disappointed. Meat was over cooked burnt/chewing on rubber. They were very stingy with rice portions and pico and guacamole. I feel robbed and did not enjoy the food

We pulled up to their menu which is right at the to-go window. The attendant waved us forward to give us paper menus and chatted about what we wanted. This lady was very helpful and friendly. My wife ordered the fluatas and I had the enchilada plate with the beef fajita meat. The food was so good! Next time we are in Gatesville we will swing through and eat again.
