We were riding around High Point looking for something unique and delicious to try. Well Sumela is definitely the place! I was impressed with the reviews and the food selection and then you top that with outstanding service you have the perfect dining experience! My first time coming here and it did not disappoint! The restaurant was clean, the employees were incredibly friendly, and the service was fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious and came out piping hot and fresh. I thought, for the quality of the food, the prices were great! I highly recommend the chicken kabobs! It comes with a generous helping of rice and vegetables with a tremendous flavor. Excellent people and service!

Great place! We planned ahead with the nice owner and hosted a bridal luncheon at Sumela’s. They were very accommodating and had a table for 14 ready for us and appetizer trays ready to roll out as requested. It has a very nice interior and easy parking. All the dishes served were nice quantities and I didn’t see any food leftover so everything was yummy. I had the shrimp kabob entree and I noticed that both the shrimp kabob and lamb kabob plates came with 2 very full all meat skewers. The good menu variety and great flavors had a couple of us going back the next day with our husbands! Thank you to Sumela’s for a successful event!

This was an excellent meal! Amazing, flavorful menu. Pita and grape leaves were particularly exceptional. Service was a bit slow and food took longer than expected to come out, but well worth the wait.

Been meaning to review this place for some time now. Have picked up food several times and have eaten in a couple times. Never had a bad item and service is always well done and my questions about some of the unfamiliar items are always answered knowledgeably. Their hummus is really well done and as good as I have had. Red Lentil soup is tasty as well. This place is a hidden gem right on Main St.

Excellent meal! The owner is from Turkey and his nephew one of the waiters was very friendly and helpful and has just come over in the last few months from Turkey. Had a great conversation. The food was outstanding! Would highly recommend the Turkish meat pie as an appetizer, then the Mediterranean salad, the piyaz white beans are delicious, and the sultan platter to get a sampling of the lamb skewer Adana kebab and gyro with lots of yummy side dishes… Tabbouleh hummus mixed vegetables. We live about 45 minutes away, but it was worth the drive!
