One of my favorite restaurants for the lunch time bento box. Today I had the bento plate because I wanted to also get an order of veggie tempura. My daughter had bento box plus. Steak stuffed with scallions, rice, California roll, dumplings, soup and salad $15 a lot of food. My salmon was a little overcooked but the lunch was excellent. They don’t automatically include the tip which I like. Yes of course I tip but I want to decide the amount.

Likely the best sushi in the area. A key tell tale is great sushi rice!! I could eat a huge bowl of just the sushi rice! The fish are shipped in fresh and the rolls are innovative with fun names. They’ve also got great udon. Not to mention it’s a local Mom and Pop shop with super nice owners ❤️

They are my new fav sushi place in the area now! The sushi is fresh and delicious and the lady was nice to explain me the menu for some combos. I end up got the 3 rolls with miso soup. All the rolls look delicious and also taste great! Even the miso soup is very flavorful unlike some places will watered it down. Thank you for making my Sunday late lunch enjoyable!

Hello Japanese food lovers – hurry over to Hanami while the holiday specials are still featured in the menu! I ordered Christmas Tree Roll and Holly Jolly Roll. Wow! These are really substantial layered treats! The two together made a scrumptious and rib-sticking lunch. And I have to say their decor is so pretty and charming. Their holiday window is gorgeous! This is the nicest sushi place for miles around, and very convenient to University of Maryland and downtown College Park. Enjoy your end-of-holidays meal!

I placed an order over the phone. I got the steak and chicken hibachi. The lady asked if I wanted fried rice or rice. I told her fried. I then said for the veggies can I only have broccoli. They gave me just meat and broccoli. Didn’t follow the instructions at all. $27 dollars for broccoli drenched in a flavorless sauce. I’ve called about 5 times and no one has picked up. Way to ruin my dinner.

Food does not taste good and sushi is not fresh. I have been here a few times in the past year and have tried several items (teriyaki, udon, sushi). I really want to like this place as it’s close to me and the waitstaff seem nice, but the food is low-quality. After this most recent meal, I have decided to give up on this place.

amazing sushi place tucked away in this college town. great menu with creative rolls and the classics. i recommend the iso roll. the quality is still first class even though it’s been around for over 17 years. very reasonably priced and also a great place for small groups.
