I ordered shrimp fajitas with onions and tomatoes very little peppers. It came with mostly peppers. Server pointed out there’s onions under all those peppers. Didn’t offer to correct. She’s very cute but not a good server. Husbands trio was very good. We had to ask for the desert menu and the check. And waited and waited

Our trip to Rio Grande was nothing spectacular. The food was delicious, but the service was slow. The ambience what’s the typical American Mexican restaurant. My wife ordered shrimp tacos. She love them. She gives them a five out of five. I ordered the Cazuelón with flour tortillas. It was phenomenal.

Really enjoyed it! We may have caught them on a bad day as only one person was hosting, bussing, and serving. She was impressively quick, though. The food was great and what I look for in Mexican restaurants. Looking forward to going back

Awesome food and service. No wait service. Everyone worked together as a team to clean up large tables of people who left instead of leaving it for one person to clean. Clean restaurant.

Everything was perfect. Seated immediately and was served fresh chips and salsa. Our waitress was attentive at the perfect times. I ordered the carnitas street tacos and my husband ordered the ribeye. Both of ours were super tasty and large enough that we needed a to-go box. I ordered half and half tea and it was perfect as well. We have always had great experiences here and have been at all times during the day. I highly recommend Rio Grande for your Mexican Fix.

Rio has some amazing food and is always delicious! It is a great place to go out to eat with family and friends. It is very convenient seeing as it’s in town. However the wait does tend to be long seeing as they are always busy. Overall I would definitely recommend Rio to anyone!

The draft Dos Equis XX and margaritas on the rocks were solid. As for the food, it was ok. Nice sized portions on the enchilada and tamale dinner with beans and rice. Same with the chicken enchiladas dinner. The red sauce was confusing. Unlike any enchilada sauce I have had before. A little off-tasting, almost like plain canned tomato sauce. Bland, uninteresting flavors that did not seem to have been marinated together. The dinners were not bad. Just ok. Tortilla chips definitely not home made, salsa had a slight kick of picante. The service was a little slow from what we are used to in big cities. But hey, it’s in Hillsville, VA. We need to slow the pace down a bit. Nice clean restaurant that had a great din of happy diners.
