So, we saw pictures of Halal food and thought, oh this place looks good! Plates seem big with plenty of meat. Being halal is a plus. We get there, it’s a small takeout setup with a couple of chairs. The older gentleman at the counter was Spanish and barely understood what we were saying. First, we had to ask him to come close to the counter so we can talk to him. He just stood there!

We love finding little hidden local eateries like this one when we travel to new states. The food was homemade which was exactly what we were looking for. There was love and care in each bite. I had a chicken kebab meal, my partner had a gyro meal, and our kids had hummus and falafel. Ordering in store was a bit more difficult than if we had ordered online and we still ended up with one meal we didn’t order. I know there have been mixed reviews about the service. Honestly, I am ok with people showing up as their authentic selves and people do respond to the energy customers bring. The man at the counter was a real person, immigrant, and not a cookie cutter customer service agent. He was helpful and even recommended we buy a bag of pita at the grocery, because it would be more cost efficient for our family. Personally, those are the kind of folks I like to support.

Excellent food and great taste overall. Salad was especially very fresh. You do not get this quality food in big restaurant. Carmen and Raul were excellent service provider. Carmen even gave free things to try. Her motto is “I serve the food that I want to eat as well”.

I have been here on 2 occasions, and I have to say that the quality of the food and service is very hit or miss. First time it was delicious and fresh. Second time, and most recently, not nearly as good and was very disappointing. Also, the woman who helps customers at the counter is very rude. Almost as rude as the man who answers the phone and yells at the customers. It should also be mentioned that the prices on their website are not accurate. Expect at least a 20-30% increase on all the items. Thought my meal total would be around $30 max, but ended up being close to $45. When I mentioned this, the woman at the front was very snotty and said “if you paid attention to the menu right in front of you then you’d see prices are subject to change, it says it right there.” The food this time around was also disappointing. The chicken seemed a bit undercooked, the steak wayyyy over cooked, dry, and tough, and the falafel was dry as a bone. I don’t think I’d return here as there are plenty of other places to bring business to that will appreciate their customers and provide better quality food.

First time at this place and Food was very tasty! Ordered the falafel platter, madanis mix and kebbh balls. Only thing to complain about would be that this place is very very small. Mostly just a store with two tables that u can sit and eat at. Also there were flys flying around our table which was annoying.

So many great flavors in my gyro plate today! Its awesome to find really good halal food in CT. My plate was packed with rice, hummus and salad. It was big enough to feed two people. Would Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area.

Great spot. The woman working was so nice but I had to remind her more than once what to put in each wrap. Its better she asked to get it right then not to though.
