I ordered a half chicken combo. I was served scraps of a breast maybe (like some unidentifiable carcass piece) , small thigh, no drumstick and two portions of wings. I can get a whole chicken at Sam’s or Costco for $6. Why $13 for scraps?? (Photo is amazing chicken breast? In half chicken combo). Also, meat tasted old and not fresh like el pollo used to be.

I’m giving a one star for poor upkeep.The place wasn’t busy and upon my arrival I walked into a dirty restaurant which isn’t good for appearance sake if you want customers to feel welcomed. I dare not go into the bathrooms or those pictures would have been here also. Food was cool. Store appearance not good. I can’t imagine the upkeep behind the counters where all the food was.

Hello, I’m frequent here & at this locationz I drive a little further just foR this location because of how fresh the food is and most days they actually use Romain lettuce. But last night I was totally dissatisfied with the chicken it was burnt! So of course the flavor was just horrible and not edible! Idk who the cook is but he/she is soooo wrong for giving that chicken out! I was so mad I threw all 4 away and had to go get food from another place to feed myself and kids. They really didn’t want it. I think it’s unfair this restaurant has my money but my money went in the trash because it was not edible. Very upset I could cry. Food is not cheap these days.

Today I went to the Madison location, the cashier was not able to understand what was ordered due to language barrier ( they spoke spanish) and how loud it was inside. I was using a coupon, she rang up the wrong food so the coupon wouldn’t work. When she asked her manager to help, the manager wouldn’t even take to time to review the order, just said “The coupon will be available to use tomorrow” she said I opened the app up before the register causing the coupon to not work… What??? Had she looked at what was punched into the screen and matched it to my coupon she would had noticed the problem. This was very ignorant of the manager, we noticed the food was wrong when receiving it, and the manager was still arguing the point that we ordered that! I think I know what food I wanted. We at the food because I was done arguing with the manager and I had to get back to work. However, neither of us were happy with it. El pollo loco is overpriced for what you get even if it is healthier for you. The manager needs training and honestly they need cashiers who can understand English well enough to do that position Not judging who works but being able to communicate with customers clearly is extremely important in any business.

I got the two piece leg and thigh. Didn’t even have enough meat to make two taco’s. It was small enough to be dove leg and thigh. The service was very, very slow in the drive thru. It sucks because my EBT is only excepted here.
