Visited recently with a buddy who was moving to Florida that week. He wanted one last meal from lido’s. Same decor after all these years. Nothing has changed. We had an outstanding waitress take care of us. The menu is pretty much the same stuff as pre-pandemic. However the prices are up probably 30 to 40% just like anywhere else these days. Overall excellent experience from this long time Meriden restaurant.

Lido’s is perhaps my favorite Italian restaurant of all Italian restaurants for 20+ years. I’m not a huge fan of Italian food, and I’m so picky about pizza which I only get it from Illiano’s. However, for everything that isn’t pizza and the service, Lido’s is first class. The service has and usually is amazing. I love the chicken parmesan here, but the fried calamari with marinara here is THE BEST. I have for years and years ordered calamari at restaurants to compare it to Lido’s. There is no equal. The atmosphere here is as cozy as any Italian restaurant, which is fine! I like to refer to Lido’s as a gem that you’d expect to find in a bigger city, not Meriden

New ownership and new recipes has effected quality and taste, not for the better in my opinion. Pizza boxes stacked to the ceiling in the restaurant seating area when you first walk in adds to the ambiance. RIP

We have been going to Lido’s for many years now, and the food has never let us down. Our favorites are the chicken parmigiana, lobster ravioli, and seafood and steak specials. The prices are incredibly reasonable, the portions are plentiful, and the staff are always friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.
