At our Charleston, SC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.
Fast-food chain serving fried fish & shrimp combo meals along with gumbo & funnel cakes. Based on 676 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 3.5 stars. Price $

Ordered delivery, paid for a loaded potato. Didn’t come loaded. No malt vinegar in the bag, no ketchup no butter no sour cream. Just terrible you pay these outrageous delivery fees and up-charges for premium sides and y’all can’t even put the correct condiments.

Google and door sign indicates they open at 10:30. Drive thru has hand written sign posted open at 11. Update Google please so people don’t waste time. Also ordered over 40.00 in food and got ZERO condiments and didn’t discover it until I got all the way home.

Since the other Captain D’s in my area are usually close because of being short staff, it was very refreshing to stumble into this one. It had plenty employees. My food was really good Captain’s food. I had the Deluxe Seafood platter and everything was great.

They are a hit or miss for me. The last time I went was like 40 minutes to an hour before they closed. They were not moving that fast and they lady in front of me had a huge order when she finally moved and it was my turn no one came to speaker to say we are closed, but they were still in there. That was unprofessional and rude. There were 2 more people behind me . I don’t plan on going back

They ignore you at the drive thru so they don’t have to serve you. Had happened mutliple times. I keep saying “maybe next time will be different”. Doors are locked 20 to 30 minutes before closing, so you cant get in. Honestly don’t know how they stay open because everytime i go I see them just not serving people.

Good food, rude worker. She was an older white lady and was rude from start to finish and apparently you cannot ask for sauce without her shutting the window on me, she said it’s in the bag but nope no vinegar. If you are like me , you don’t eat their fish without.

All I can say is whewwwwww. Go here at your own risk. Employees don’t wanna be at work(there attitude shows it), they are not on uniform ( young lady on drive thru has a bonnets on her head), and the signs. Just leave it at you close at 5pm. No need for the extra messages. They are slow and to be honest, this place has fell off…BAD! Eat here at your own risk..

The customer service at this location is always outstanding. However, The wait time on drive thru is usually longer than normal. But the food is always fresh and that’s something I do not mind waiting on☺️
