Stayed at the lodge one night and decided to try out the restaurant on site since it was the easiest option for food. They only had one server working but he absolutely killed it. All his recommendations were great, the food was delivered quickly and tasted great. I had the Elk Tenderloin, it was amazing! The 8oz filet was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The Kung Pow Brussel sprouts were a table favorite and were devoured within minutes of arriving at our table. Definitely a great choice for a date night, make sure to request a table by the windows so you can enjoy the fantastic views. I would definitely eat here again.

Service was wonderful and the views from our window-side table we’re stunning but food was a let down. The dishes sounded good but lacked seasoning and just weren’t very good. We’d return for the views.

We stopped for a drink at the bar and had the fried calamari, artichoke, asparagus, and lemon appetizer. I never knew that fried lemon tasted so good!!! The cocktails at the bar were excellent and the bartender was very nice. Not to mention the view! Spectacular!!!

This restaurant is severely understaffed and overpriced. We waited over 30 minutes for a water refill and finally just got up and did it ourselves. This was after asking the waitress for water and watching her refill other glasses and then taking the pitcher back. Very inefficient. They had one person being the hostess, bartender and waitress. I understand being shorthanded, but we should have been given a heads-up to decide of we wanted to spend 2 hours there. Then they include forced gratuity, so our bill was over $150 for 2 subpar meals and we had to tip almost $30 for a waitress who only took our order. She did not take care of us at all. The elk tasted like it had been previously frozen and the mashed potatoes had no flavor. I was very disappointed.

Dined at Traverse tonight with my daughter. Very large party in house (20+) and one server. We waited 15 minutes before our drink order was taken. My daughter had the pasta and she really enjoyed it. I ordered the filet and was a bit shocked when I was served Elk Tenderloin. I chose to eat the elk as I didn’t want to wait in a very loud environment to receive my order.

A friend of ours came to town for a 2-day business workshop. Traverse had one of their favorite dishes: elk tenderloin. It came with broccoli and corn pallenta – 3 of our party had the same dish. The 4th had the Ceviche.

The food was good and the staff were friendly! The views from anywhere inside or outside the restaurant are fantastic. The charcuterie board was an excellent appetizer and the large house salad with salmon on it was great.

We had a wonderful evening and dinner. First, the food was delicious. We had the Elk Tenderloin (pictured) among other great dishes. secondly, Our servers were very friendly and went well above and beyond. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and had been recommended to Traverse. We appreciate everyone we met last night. They all made it an extraordinary evening.
