The only issue dampening the dining experience was the imposed 20% service charged which is then taxed. That’s just plain wrong.

I’m usually hesitant to go to any “mexican” restaurant outside of Mexico, New Mexico, Cali, Texas, & a few other states!

I have eaten here a few times now, and will go back. The drinks are delicious especially the margaritas. Food is fresh and not greasy not all. Fajitas are sizzling, and chips are crispy . The service is a little slow but everyone was friendly.

We visited for the first time after a trip to the nearby theater. The decor is really cool, and the location is very interesting as well! We were very excited to try a couple of the drinks that we had read about on the menu but unfortunately several of them were not available due to missing ingredients. We were hoping to try the blackberry basil margarita and also the sangria, and neither of those were available. We started off with the dip sampler For an appetizer, which was delicious, but the chips were overly salty. We did ask for some with a little less salt, which took a few minutes, but we did receive them, which was very nice. The entrées were all delicious. I do recommend the Carne Asada burrito although it is rather spicy so make sure you do not order it if you can’t handle a little spice. Desserts are yummy too so don’t forget to try the chocolate filled churros. Sara was our waitress, and she was very nice and checked on us often! We would visit again and hopefully all drinks would be available!

The restaurant is alone the canal walk. A lot of tourist spot near by. The mushroom taco is definitely not normally being seen on other Mexican restaurant. Give it a try you will like it.

During January 2023 after the recent launch of the brunch menu and service at Casa Del Barco, they were offering 50% off the entire menu for the first hour of service which got us interested enough to come back in. We had been several times for dinner a few years back but it had been a while.

This place has potential, but fails to live up to it. Today was our second time dining, and once again fell short for various reasons.

I’m sad that the food has no taste. Fish tacos were bland, carne asada fries were missing the carne, chips were stale and “salsa” was just tomato sauce. The service and atmosphere of the restaurant is good but food is lacking A LOT of flavor!!! We ate because we were starving .
