Good salsa, had the two tacos and loved the slightly grilled flour tortillas. Charro beans were fantastic. Steak fajita meat was great; didn’t prefer the barbacoa but probably a personal preference. Bathroom had a smell that was leaking into the restaurant. Overall very authentic flavor, kind staff and definitely worth a visit.

Came here for breakfast tacos while visiting friends in Georgetown. It was a Sunday and they only have to-go food as the dining area is closed on Sunday’s. There’s a walk-up window on the side to place your order.

This is a hole in the wall Mexican place that we ate at several times while in trial at the Williamson County Courthouse. The food was great the first day, cold the second day and great the last day. They didn’t let us dine inside on Tuesday so we went else where. The salsa was hot but had a slight effervescence that was off putting so I didn’t eat it. The fajitas were pretty good the first day and the enchiladas were cool and bland the second day.

This is a small family run place and the beef fajitas are charro beans are just AMAZING and the best I think I have ever had. The chips and homemade salsa are a great addition to your meal. They ask that you pay in cash to help keep the cost down which in turn helps us all. They have a very friendly staff who are great at keeping your tea glass filled and this is just a great place to stop and eat and support a local family run business. It is within a short walking distance from the Georgetown Square where there are some neat little shops and several things to do and see. We really had a fun and relaxing time in Georgetown and the San Gabriel River runs right through this little Texas town which just ads the icing on the cake. So if you are in the area make sure to stop by as this place is wonderful and you wont regret stopping and eating here and I highly RECOMMEND the beef fajitas!!

This has been a G’town restaurant staple for many years. Went to get breakfast tacos at 9:00 AM at the take out window. Ordered two bean, egg, & potato tacos. The order took 20+ minutes. Instead of B, E, P tacos, I got bean, egg, & bacon. Not fatal. Eating the first taco, I literally crunched egg shells all the way through. I requested extra salsa which weren’t in the bag. Additionally, they were out of barbacoa. I’ve been to this place quite a number of times over the years, but this was a VERY disappointing experience. I don’t always make it a point to write reviews unless my experience is really bad or really good. This was really bad. Perhaps an off day, but won’t likely be going back.

My wife and I stopped in here for lunch. The staff is friendly and helpful, service was attentive. Decor is basic and relatively low budget. I ordered the beef fajita salad and she ordered a Mexican plate with a cheese enchilada, taco, tostada, rice and beans. We also had two soft drinks. I liked the salsa with the chips. Unfortunately, the rest of the cuisine was rather bland. I prefer a bit more heat or oomph. Good value for the money but only adequate TexMex in my opinion. Total cost before tip was less than $29.

After just moving to Georgetown I needed to find a new Mexican restaurant close to home. I did a quick Google search and found El Charrito. All the great reviews swayed my decision to check it out. Boy am I glad! We dined in for a Friday lunch special of beef fajita tacos, charro beans, rice and guacamole. The meat was plentiful, consisting of large juicy tender strips of savory seasoned steak and onions tucked inside fresh, warm tortillas (flour for me, corn for my wife). The beans had almost as much bacon as beans. They were also chunky and full of delicious flavor. All in all I think I’ve found my newest favorite place to indulge in TexMex food. Lots of great food served by super friendly staff at very reasonable prices.
