Best ramen in Long Beach! Noodles were cooked perfectly, broth was super flavorful, and the meat is tender. Nice quiet atmosphere with good throwback music. Service was excellent. Parking is terrible but I always walk here so I won’t take off a star, definitely recommend taking an Uber though. Restaurant is next to a very noisy bar which is intimidating on the outside but once you walk in it’s very pleasant and you can’t hear anything going on next door. Good beer and wine selection, excellent tapas, and amazingly priced. Ramen is also very customizable.

Ramen was ok for me. I had better one elsewhere. I do like that I can just pick and choose what I want in the ramen. I added pork belly, corn, and egg. They don’t make the egg like the usual ramen egg, it’s just regular boiled egg so that was a bit dissappointing. The interior looked like it used to be a bar place now turn into this ramen place so that was interesting. It was pretty filled though!

Tonkotsu ramen is my favorite type of ramen. The broth is very good. The “spicy” sharpness was also just right. I only deducted one star because the egg was a normal boiled egg and not a tomago egg. I also missed the nori seaweed. But that’s a matter of taste and if you don’t know the two ingredients, you won’t miss it either… The soup was very tasty and I would order the ramen again…

They have vegan broth here. Udon noodles are just the right amount of chewy and egg yolks was slightly soft. Atmosphere is definitely a local joint.

I absolutely love this place! Their service is fast and efficient. They always have music and sports games playing in the background. The place is never too crowded, which I love. The ramen is a must have because when I tell you the broth is to die for, I mean it! Their jumbo shrimp in the creamy sauce is one of my favorite appetizers. I haven’t tried anything else since this combo tends to do it for me. I have heard their Thai wings are tasty. I’ll have to try them next time I stop by.

I had the firecracker shrimp as an appetizer and the Gu Ramen with mild spice and egg. The ramen was OK. The broth was plain, however I do like ramen with a lot of flavor and salt so I’ll let you be the judge. I like the firecracker shrimp. The dipping sauce was delicious. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. The environment was pretty chill for a Monday evening.

Fast service with reasonable prices. It wasn’t too crowded on a Friday night and wasn’t too loud as well. Was able to get a table within minutes. Would recommend getting the ramen instead of the udon.

Gu Ramen is just a perfect neighborhood ramen spot. Delicious food, fantastic staff and a great welcoming vibe. The restaurant is set up to be comfy for groups, dates and folks on their own.

Great Ramen, red ginger had a kick! Avoid the Popsicle chicken was horrible, way too much batter and the skin was soggy!
